MASS

Hey , I know  most of you understand that mass is the amount of matter a body contains..

That's the general meaning...

Now, let's clear some things up first................................

Are MASS AND WEIGHT the same???

They definitely are NOT.

---->>>MASS characterizes the inertial properties of a body.

----->>>>>The greater the mass the greater its inertia is...

-------->>>WEIGHT is a force exerted on a body by the pull of the earth or some other large body.

--------->>>In other words, weight is the measure of the gravitational force exerted on an object.

BUT.......

Weight is proportional to mass but it varies with the position of a given mass relative to the earth; and so....

equal masses at the same location in a gravitational field will have equal weights.

Now is all clear?

I hope so.

Now to the last part of this topic.....

GO!!!!!
