Gunbound
is an online turn-based shooting game which uses unique Mobiles to battle
other players. There are numerous mobiles and weaponry to choose from,
giving each player the ability to customize their avatar almost anyway
they want.
There are different avatar settings that can compliment the mobile you're using. With different avatar items and mobiles at your disposal, you can develop various strategies that are both crafty and sneaky to battle against your opponents. You can either shoot, hide or teleport to another area to keep you safe during each turn, provided that you have such items to support these actions. To make the game more interesting, there is a wind changing
device called Moondisk, which alters the direction of players' shots.
This requires a bit of skill, as players have to calculate Learning to aim and calculate where your shots will
hit is one of the keys to successful game play, as the object is to
strike your opponents at every possible turn you get. The other is to
dodge any shot that is fired your way. The more effective shots your
avatar fires means The more you play and win, the stronger you avatar will become. |

Here are the games that I usually play on my playstation

My first experience with the Resident Evil series(labeled “RE” from now on) didn’t start with the first game in the series. In fact, it started with the last game of the series(as of now), RE Code: Veronica X. Basically I jumped right into the RE saga without any knowledge(of the living force) of the back story, and so the game was a little confusing to me. So anyway, after being sucked into the remake of the original RE since May 1st on the Nintendo Gamecube(that was a major plug, go play the remake ASAP!), and after beating it multiple times with each character; beating the different modes and trying for faster times, I finally decided to get off my lazy bum and bug me mum to give me a ride up to Family Video to continue my thirst for RE by renting RE 2 on the Playstation(neither RE 2 nor RE3:Nemesis are being remade for Gamecube, but are just being ported instead). Anyone who has read my review of the REmake, or who converse with me regularly through instant messenger and email will know that I absolutely LOVE the RE series. I don't’ care what people think about the game, I love them to death and will continue loving them when RE:Zero is released in October and RE4 releases in the (hopefully) near future. Before going on with the review, everything is going to be based on if I was reviewing this in 1998(the game’s release). It’s completely wrong to judge a game that was released on last generation’s systems to the Next Generation systems. It’s been a few months since the incident with Umbrella in the mansion, and now you’re introduced to two new characters; the rookie cop’s first day on the job(and one hell of a day at that), Leon...and Chris Redfield’s(the cool guy in the original RE) little sissy Claire Redfield who’s searching for her missing brother(you’ll learn what happened through little memos left lying around). Anyway, this game takes place in Raccoon City, and the T-Virus was spread through the city by rats that got into the T-Virus, and carried it through the sewers to create the current predicament that Leon and Claire are in. Gameplay: Like I said, instead of mixing the two elements(action/puzzle), RE 2 has a heavy focus on the action aspect. So because of this, ammo is much more plentiful here and you’ll also find more powerful weapons EARLIER in the game rather than later as in the first game. But any who, before I get into all that, how about those puzzles eh? SO first of all, like I said above, this game focuses more on action than puzzle; however there are still some tricks in this game. The main aspect that is present in ALL RE‘s(in the main story line anyway), is that the game’s puzzles consists of finding an item, using it somewhere, and then doing some more of the same. One of the coolest parts of this puzzle/item system is the ability to check and combine items. Sometimes, you have to check an item to unlock something else inside it, or even to find a clue to something else; and then there’s the ability to combine items, so you can get another single item out of it. So like I said, puzzles include fitting pieces together, which usually leads to a key, which unlocks a door somewhere else, which then leads to another eventual puzzle; so that being said, there’s lots of backtracking. Now granted, most of the puzzles are pretty simple; however, there are so many of them that are so simple, they’re complicated. Most of the item tracking includes backtracking, so a lot of time is consumed doing this, like I said. Enough of the puzzles, I’m sure your brain is pounding just from reading this review, so how about we end with the puzzles and start on the Bio Freaks. You’ve got the basic girl and guy zombies, and then the zombies dressed in different outfits, and also the zombie dogs which are just annoying as ever, only this time you only encounter them once or twice. Now instead there’s a new annoying monster, something called the Licker. These creatures run low to the ground on four legs, and have super long, razor sharp tongues. Anyone remember the big dude from the Resident Evil movie? That sucker was a licker, although the ones in the game aren’t near as big. Then there’s some weird-a$$ creature that keeps transforming into some weird figures that you’ll encounter a couple times. So you’re stuck in a city that has been overrun with zombies, shouldn’t you have some sort of weapon? Of course, depending on the difficulty of the game you’re on(easy or normal), weapons could be found in different places, and ammo is different in some places. Anyway, action is heavier in this game, so therefore ammo is plentiful and you find more powerful weapons early on in this game. When you start off, you’ll wield a handgun and combat knife. As you progress, you’ll find a couple shot guns, magnum, sub machine guns, and a super cool flamethrower(that’s only necessary in one area). I never used the combat knife because if I only shot at the zombies that mattered, I would have plenty of ammo for each weapon, especially the hand gun, although ammo for that dwindles down quickly. Anyway, sometime in the game, you’ll find handgun parts that will sort of upgrade your handgun to a 3-round burst rate of fire, and shot-gun parts that’ll make your shot-gun one BFG(candy bars to any non-gamers who know what that is). When you get to close to a zombie, they’ll grab on and try to take some chunks out of you. When you do get hit/bit, you’ll lose health. Now health isn’t calculated by some kind of bar or anything, but instead is separated into three types; Critical(red), caution(yellow), and fine(green) and is like one of those heart meter things in the hospitals that would give any idiot a headache from staring at it too long(that would be me, yup). So, in order to keep your health up, you’ll find three different kinds of herbs; Green, Blue, and Red. Green herbs will give you health back, Blue ones cure poison, and Red has no purpose but when it’s combined with a green or blue herb, it can increase the effects of the other colored herbs. Well you know that the game includes a lot of backtracking and item swapping, so you should also know that each character only has 8 slots, and you must take into account that weapon take up one of those slots for each weapon(some take TWO). So anyway, one of the more strategic elements in the game is having to use an item box to store items and keep only the necessities in your inventory. Although this adds a bit of strategy to the game, it gets terribly annoying because if you forget something or you’ve got to many items in your inventory, you have to go back and find an item box to get the item you need or make room in your inventory for an item. Item boxes are usually in the same room as a save point, and speaking of save points, in order to save you have to have ink ribbons and you save on a type writer, each save taking up one ink ribbon |

Final Fantasy 8 A member of an elite military team , Squall is forced into a conflict beyond imagination. To survive, he must contend with a desperate rival, a powerful sorceress, and his own mysterious dream. This sequel's theme is on love, set in a massive new world, totally different from the rest of the sequels. Here, will Squall ever find his true love? Final Fantasy 8 is packed with intense graphics boost to the Playstation's maximum capability, together with nearly an hour of stunning motion-captured CG cinemas seamlessly integrated into gameplay. The new junction system has replaced the old MP and materia system, allowing characters to be customized with powerful magic spells drawn for enemies. Apparently, it appears that magic in this sequel is pretty weak. The emphasis on magic is rather used by junctioning to boost your characters' stats rather then casting them out. Final Fantasy 8 also gives the ability to 'mix and match', allowing your characters to use certain abilities, cast summon spells, special attacks by means of a Guardian Force. These GF's help the characters in the game to fully utilize their abilities, and they look similar to FF7's summon magic, except that they offer special character abilities such as Str +40%, Vit +40%, Spd +40% and more... A new interesting concept has overtaken the previous FF's, setting it in a realistic, futuristic environment, regulated with special effects and present time possible events. The battle system once again consist of 3 characters, similar to FF7, with the ability to use limit breaks, do critical damage as well as counter attacks. The weapons can be upgraded instead of being bought, unlike the previous sequels. The traditional swords and staffs have been replaced by new replica weapons such as gunblades (sword in gun; ability to fire and attack), whips, chains, guns and even bare fists themselves. The special 1 million HP bosses are also back in the game itself. Ultima Weapon, Omega Weapon can be found in the game. These are special bosses which you can fight against, with requires a little bit of brain power. Final Fantasy 8 is a 4 discs Playstation console game and a 5 discs PC platform game with over 50 hours of gameplay to entertain you to the very last bit. |

Parasite
Eve 1
On December 24, 1997, NYPD cop Aya Brea finds herself drawn to an opera by an ad in the paper. When she arrives, escorted by her date, she takes her seat as the characters are debating over a marriage. Soon afterwards, a young actress, Melissa Pearce, begins her solo. As Melissa spots Aya in the audience, her eyes turn a strange shade of green and as she casts a backward glance towards another member of the cast, he bursts into flames. Soon the entire audience is burning as Melissa watches with joy. When the audience is gone, Aya looks around and she realizes that she is the only survivor. As she runs to face Melissa with her gun drawn, she finds that as she approaches, her body gets hot, and she feels some strange power within her. Aya discovers that Melissa is no ordinary criminal, and just when Aya thinks Melissa is almost finished off, she floats away and Aya chases after her.... Parasite Eve 2 Three years after the tragedy in New York, mitochondria-related incidents were reported in scattered regions across the US. Eventually, the cases disappeared and it seemed the bizarre attack finally came to an end. But on September 9, 2000, the stage for another tragedy was set. That evening, a number of mitochondria creatures appeared in the Acropolis Tower, a modern high-rise building in the middle of downtown Los Angeles. Contact was lost with the SWAT team sent to contain the situation, and a rooftop assault ended with a helicopter in flames. In an attempt to control the chaos, the FBI deployed its newly formed Mitochondria Investigation and Suppression Team known as MIST. Aya Brea returns as one of the investigators working for MIST, after resigning from her post in the New York Police Department. Mitochondria, which have a reverse aging effect, lay dormant inside her body, causing her to look younger than her actual age. She will now face what are called neo-mitochondria creatures (NMC), which can disguise themselves in human form. We've also learned that a second character will join Aya in battle. However, you won't have control over this character during battle. |
