Looking To Date You by Dark Will

"...Well, Willow's not looking to date you. Or if she is, she's playing pretty close to the chest." Xander rambled quickly. I looked down at my lap and laced my hands together.

"I know." I whispered. "I wish she were."

"What?!?" He choked out, making me realize I'd spoken my thoughts out loud. Standing up, I refused to look him in the eyes as I headed back toward the school.

"Buffy..." he called, but I have Slayer speed and was able to outrun him. I just had to get away from the frigging stupid triangle that made up the Scooby gang. Willow's childhood crush on Xander, him apparentaly lusting after me, and me in love with Will.

Running into the bathroom, I locked myself in the nearest stall. I hadn't even been willing to admit my feelings for Willow until to days ago. So why had I just told Xander? He'd probably just be turned on at the idea of his two female friends getting it on and I know he'll tell Willow. She'll be so repulsed that she'll never speak to me again. And where Willow goes, so goes Xander. Gathering myself together, I ran out of the school and went home as fast a I could.

The doorbell woke me up, an I looked over at my alarm clock to see it was eleven at night. When I got home I had sat in my room, thinking up possible reactions that Willow would have when Xander told her what I said. None of them promising. Getting out of bed, I went to get the door, remembering mom was out on a date. "I'm coming!" I screeched loudly, before swinging open the door to find Willow standing there.

"Wills..." I greeted her, gawking.

We stood there for what felt like hours, but really couldn't have been more then ten minutes before Willow broke the silence.

"Can I come in?" I nodded and stepped back to let the redhead in. She smiled, and my heart melted. "Thanks."

We both went to the couch, and sat down.

"I talked Xander after you left school today..." She stopped, obviously waiting for me to say something.

"Look, Wills, I'm sorry about that. My brain wasn't working right and I said it before I could stop myself. I'm really sorry." Willow cocked her head.

"Why?" I gapped a her, and she laughed. "Well, why are you sorry?" I just sat there in shock. "I'm not. Xander was wrong. I was looking to date you. I just never figured you liked girls."

"I don't." I told her quietly. Her face fell.

"Oh. I'm s-sorry." Willow stuttered. "M-maybe I s-should g-go." She started to get up, but I grabbed her wrist, stopping her from leaving.

"I don't like girls. Willow. I like Willow."

"Oh. Y-you mean you like..." I nodded.

"So, we're good?" I asked, teasingly as she sat back down.

"We're good. We're very good." I smiled and pulled her into a hug. And she was right. We were good. Everything was good.
