Chapter 1: Passion From the Devil
"So he doesn’t know?" she asked with a sadistic smirk planted firmly on her full lips.
"Not a clue." The woman smiled evilly, Angel thought he could just barge in a dissolve them from within. He couldn’t have been more wrong.
"Thank you, Senator, this has been most . . . amusing." She commented with a light chuckle and dark gleam in her eyes.
"Believe me, the members of the Black Thorn are most displeased. They really thought they had him, he played us all for fools." The older woman sneered with disdain; she did not like being toyed with.
The young woman smiled coldly, Angel was being such a bad boy. Poor baby, now she was going to have to teach him a lesson. He should know by now, never stick your nose, especially when vampirically enhanced, in other’s affairs. It just wasn’t how things were done.
She’d been a member for far too long for him to come crashing in on her private party. How easy it was, to pretend to be good and be jolly and save the day. It was playtime for children and Angel knew that. ‘You’re playing in the big leagues now my darling boy . . . and we’re about to swallow you whole.’
"When do we make our move?" Asked the man who represented the apparition of the devil, pointed red tail and all.
She raised her innocent eyes to him and those orbs sent shivers down his spine. How could she have fooled them for so long? Her eyes were deceiving, where purity of heart reigned there was darkness, a darkness that had been there before the sands of time. She was a master of trickery, love and passion as a front. She lured them into her web of lies with the presumption of a good heart and heavenly smile.
There was *nothing* holy about this creature.
She even made the devil want to run and duck under the table, almost made him want to call the savior and beg him to get rid of her. She had too much power; she had too much corruption in her soul, that was if she even still had one.
"Well, I suggest a visit from an old girlfriend, don’t you?" Buffy beamed wickedly at the demon that looked like he was about to piss in his pants.
Yes, Angel was certainly in store for some haughty surprises.
