This is my favorite poem of all time, out of what I have written. My favorite poem written by an actual poet would have to be The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. I love all of his work.
The Rain
The rain
The rain embraces my soul
Darkens the sky
Collides with everything in sight
It puts me in a trance
A trance where all I see is the darkened sky and the rain
The rain colliding with everything in my heart
Ripping my sorrow and pain into the smallest possible pieces so it can not be seen by any eyes
The rain
The rain makes my heart seem true
Honest
Pure
And most of all happy
The rain hides my hate
Hides my pain
And hides my sorrow
The rain
The rain in which I wish would always be
For it puts me in a trance
A trance that saves my soul
The rain
The rain is my one true love
