*        Cheyanna Laghti looked into the mirror.  For once she liked what she saw.  For years she had been abused by her foster parents and that constant abuse had caused her to have low self-esteem and feel very small.  However, she hadn't looked small!  Cheyanna ate for comfort and over the years the pounds came rushing on.  By the time she was eighteen, she was over 250lbs.  She had lived with a foster family most of her life because she was told that her real parents and Siamese twin brother had died in a horrible fire.  Cheyanna always wondered what her real parents and brother were like and whether or not they would have treated her nicer than her foster family, if they were still alive.  She looked at the large scar on her upper arm where the doctors had been able to separate her from her brother when they were babies.  The scar was sort of a comfort to her because it always made her think of her brother which often gave her hope.  Hope that he was looking down at her from heaven and giving her support.  She had definitely needed that support on her 24th birthday.  That was the day that her foster father, Will Gable, threw her out of the house.

Will:  That's right, you get out and stay out, you fat tub of lard!  I should have shipped you out when you were eighteen, but I felt sorry for you.  Boy, was I stupid!  Every time I turned my back on you, you would be into some sort of chow.  Maybe now we can be able to live without being eaten out of our house and home!

Looking back on it now, Cheyanna could still feel the pain of being all alone and feeling worthless in a world where only physical beauty was important to people.  Until she met Brandon Bowling.  He was a large, ugly man with greasy hair and worn clothes.  Cheyanna had met him when she had decided to walk into a run-down bar to try to get warm.  Brandon eyed her and immediately introduced himself.

Brandon:  Hey lady!  I haven't seen anyone as pretty, with such a large body as you, in very long time.  I'd be willing to pay you $500 bucks to turn you into the hottest model in the world!

Thinking back on it, Cheyanna knew he couldn't have possibly meant what he was saying.  But she was desperate for money and even though Brandon was a seedy slob, no man had ever talked to her that way.  As if she were somehow beautiful.  This man may have been gross, but he somehow made her feel better about herself.  That was why she went back to his place and spent the next few weeks letting him take pictures of her.  After awhile he began wanting to take pictures of her without any clothes on.  She agreed, but soon she began to feel worthless again, and wanted desperately to get out of Brandon's home.  Cheyanna never did get the $500.  Brandon kept telling her that because money was tight, he was only able to scrounge up $10 or $15 for her.  When Cheyanna finally got $40 out of him, she packed her small suitcase and left a note asking him not to publish the pictures, especially since she had never received her full amount of money.  As she walked out the door that night, Cheyanna realized that she was back where she had started, with no place to go.

*        Toby Willer had just finished the soup.  He had wished there were windows in the kitchen of the castle.  It would have been nice to be able to look out at the city.  The view  outside the castle was incredible, but there were so few windows that Toby rarely ever got to see the magnificent view.  The only thing Toby could count on seeing day in and day out was his master, Darren Holloway.  He had served him well over the past few years.  Ever since Mrs. Holloway died, Toby became Darren's only real human interaction.  Toby served Darren his meals and sometimes when Mr. Holloway was in a good mood they would play cards or talk about the current baseball season.  Darren Holloway was a young man, but you would never have known it from the way he acted.  Toby remembered how full of life Darren had been prior to Lilly's death.  The couple were very romantic and had been inseparable.

Being single all of his life, Toby often dreamed that he would one day find a love as pure as Darren and Lilly's.  When Darren and Lilly would walk in the courtyard hand-in-hand, or dance in the ballroom, Toby would watch, wishing it was Lilly and himself.  Toby dreamed that one day Lilly would fall in love with him, but she continued to be content with Darren.  It was such a tragedy the night she fell off of that swing, in the backyard, and met her death.  That swing was her favorite place to relax.  But alas, she had swung too high, and if one is reckless, one can die.

Toby had figured Darren might fire him since there was less work to be done with only one person in the house now.  But instead, Darren was completely heart broken over Lilly's death and he no longer would get out of bed or eat.  Toby had wanted to leave in order to hopefully stop the visions he was having of seeing Lilly fly out of that swing, but he knew he could not leave Darren in his condition.  Over time, Darren would start to move around a bit and Toby grew accustomed to this new way of life.  He found he enjoyed the quiet house and the companionship between Darren and himself.

Things were different now.  With Cheyanna's arrival everything had changed.  For the worse.  Toby hoped she would leave soon.

*        Cheyanna slipped out of one nightgown and into another.  She had to look perfect for Darren.  This was the night she would finally, truly become a woman and sleep with someone whom she actually cared for.  Cheyanna remembered the night she met Darren.  It was the same night she had left Brandon.  It was a dark, rainy night and Cheyanna walked around the city of Las Verandes, California, without a clue where she would go.  Not being able to see anything through her tears, she ran into a man, (literally)!

Cheyanna:  Oh, I'm so sorry!

Man:  It's okay.  Why are you crying?  Has someone hurt you?

Cheyanna:  Everyone has hurt me!  My real parents and brother died tragically when I was young; my foster parents kicked me out of their home because they said I was too fat and lazy; and I've just spent the last couple of weeks with a man who took pictures of me, told me I was beautiful, and ended up making me feel even worse about myself.  Now I'm tired and hungry and

I have no one to turn to, so if you are planning on hurting me too, then I beg you, to get it over with, because I can't take much more of this!

Man:  Well I have a huge home with plenty of room, and food.  You are more then welcome to stay in my castle on that hill up there.

Cheyanna:  But I don't even know who you are?  And you don't know who I am?

Man:  Well, I am Dr. Darren Holloway.  Who are you?

Cheyanna:  I'm Cheyanna Laghti.

Darren:  Well, now we know each other, and you are welcome to stay in my house until you find something better.

Cheyanna reluctantly agreed.  This man was very handsome and about her age.  He was either too good to be true or he would later murder her in her sleep.  Either way, she had nothing to lose.  She went with Dr. Holloway to his dark, spooky looking castle on the top of the hill and found it to be the perfect place to call her home.  Looking in the mirror now it was hard to imagine that Cheyanna had weighed as much as she did.  She was now a size six and her greasy, damaged hair had been worked into a long, black, shiny mane that went beautifully with her olive skin.  She had never looked more beautiful.  Tonight would be the night when all of Cheyanna's dreams would come true.

*        Dr. Darren Holloway had been lonely for quite a few years now.  He had the beautiful castle at the top of hill that gave him comfort, but it just wasn't the same without Lilly.  Darren had been so lively and anew with love, but when Lilly died tragically, he completely shut himself off from the rest of the world.  Toby Willer, his servant, became his only true interaction and to be honest, friend.  On the night Darren met Cheyanna, the only reason he had gone outside was because he had found rain soothing to his soul and decided to take a walk down the hill.  That was when he saw the plump, dark haired girl whom he saw crying and walking aimlessly towards him.  Even though she was short, heavy, and unkept, there was something that reminded him of Lilly.  After talking to her, he felt so sorry for her situation that he just had to take her under his wing.  Cheyanna's family had died in a tragic accident when she was young, as did his family.  Even though the two rarely talked about their past with each other, Darren knew they had a strong connection because they both grew up parentless.  When Darren's parents died, Darren was adopted by a very old and rich family who groomed and educated him well, but gave him no real love or affection.

After a few days of having Cheyanna in the castle, Darren realized how much life she was bringing into his home.  He had never felt so lively since Lilly had died.  That is one of the reasons that he decided that he would help Cheyanna improve herself.  He spent thousands of dollars on new clothes and gave her many of Lilly's clothes as well.  He also started her on an exercise and diet regime.  At first, he felt Cheyanna might be taken aback by the thought that she needed a makeover.  However, she explained to him that no one had ever treated her so well before, which let him know that improving her was fine.  As the weeks passed by, Cheyanna began to change and  she started to look more and more like Lilly.  It was almost as if Lilly had returned to Darren in a different body.      Darren was falling in love with her and he could tell that Cheyanna felt the same way about him.  Darren hoped that Cheyanna could somehow take away his pain over losing Lilly.  Maybe tonight, that could happen!

*        Michael Moore had just finished his last day in residency at Republic Hospital.  Tomorrow he would become a full fledged medical doctor.

Michael:  Sis, I'm home.

Leslinia  had just finished dinner for her brother.  She hadn't been home long since she was a  veterinarian and had just helped a mare birth her colt.

Leslinia:  How was your day?  Did they have a party for you?

Michael:  A party?  Are you kidding?  Half the people at that hospital hate me.  They can't stand that I'm smarter, quicker, cuter, and I don't take junk from no one.  Plus, why throw a party when I'm not leaving?  I'm going to be half of those idiots' boss tomorrow.  I love it!

Leslinia:  Well, as always, you are humble!

Michael:  Nothing to be humble about.  I'm good and I know it.  Which brings this conversation to you.  You look down, what's wrong?

Leslinia:  I don't want to talk about it.

(pause)

Leslinia:  Okay, fine!  Greg has decided to dump me and start dating that new bimbo at the bank.  I knew he gave her more attention than he gave the other tellers.  But I never thought it would go as far as him getting rid of me!

Michael:  Well that isn't cool.  But as I've always said, there are plenty of fish in the sea.

Leslinia:  I don't think so.  I want this fish to fry!  That is why I have decided to kill them both! (pause)

Leslinia:  Well don't just stand there staring at me like I'm crazy!  Eat up your food before it gets too cold!

*        Rade Grasshopper stirred her concoction.  Just one more ingredient and the potion would be completed.  She swept a long, wavy strand of her hair out of her way so that she could read the book she was using.  Suddenly she heard a knock.

Rade:  Who is it?

Roach:  It's your sister, Roach.  Can...I...come in?

Rade hated being interrupted when she was working on spells.  But she knew that her deathly shy sister would not interrupt her unless it was important.

Rade:  Come in!

Roach nervously peered her head into the dark, candle-lit basement.

Roach:  Mr. Bergstrom is here to see you, Rade.

Rade smiled.  This was definitely a welcomed guest.

Rade:  Roach, tell him I will be up in a moment.  I just need to finish this potion, store it, clean up, and I'll be able to discuss his proposal.

Miles Bergstrom was not only driven to destroy someone's life; he was also good looking.  Two qualities that Rade found very attractive.

*        Miles Bergstrom stood in the foyer.  There were frightening black devil statues everywhere.  Soon the mousy acting blond who looked nothing like Rade, but was obviously the sister Rade mentioned, returned.

Roach:  Mr. Bergstrom. She will be just a moment.  If you'd like to wait in our living room, you are welcome to.

Miles followed Roach into the living room.  It was very dark and gothic-looking with lots of black candelabras and a black baby grand piano with a piece of dark red material draped over it.  He sat on the blood-red couch and waited.  Miles had met Rade for the first time last week, and they were instantantly attracted to each other.  He had heard of her from a friend that told him that if he ever wanted anything done to someone, Rade Grasshopper was the perfect dark-powered witch to do it.  Miles hadn't believed in witchcraft but he decided he would try anything to get what he needed.  When he saw Rade for the first time he felt like he was under some sort of spell.  She was incredibly beautiful with a mass of curly locks, giving her a very exotic look.  The gown she wore was dark and made of a very rich fabric.  She truly was a Dark Goddess.  He had wanted to get to know her more, but she was getting ready to leave and they were only able to talk for a few minutes.  She told him that he could stop by again, at any time, and he had agreed.  Now it was midnight and soon he would be able to see the gorgeous witch again.

Rade:  Miles, sorry to have kept you waiting, I had some business to attend to in my office.

Miles:  No problem Rade.  Thank you for having me so late.

Rade:  Oh it's not late.  Now let's start negotiating your proposal.  Who is it that you want me to help you kill, again?

Miles:  His name is Darren Holloway.  If you can help me, I will be indebted to you forever.

Rade:  I definitely want to discuss business regarding this Mr. Holloway, that has somehow destroyed your life; but, first things, first.

With that, Rade gave Miles a kiss on the lips.

Rade:  I thought we could mix a little business with pleasure.  Is that all right with you, Miles?

Miles was so shocked and amazed by the kiss that his only response was to kiss her back, which let her know that he was definately interested.
