Many bands have been created over the lives of David and Keith Dixon but one band still flickers like a burning flame today. The brothers started their first band while in elementary school. Although it was only Keith as a guitarist, Justin Lee as a drummer, and David as the vocalist it seemed cool at the time with a few songs and a band name Cryptic. That band didn't last because they weren't taking things seriously. Some time after Cryptic came The Alchemist. This is when Tom Maddox, a bassist that lived near by to the brothers of the band, came into the music. With Dave's lyrical talent and Keith's amazing guitar riffs the band came along nicely with songs like "Down," "Inside," "Torn Choice," and "Nothing". One day a thought came to the band, "JUSTIN CAN'T PLAY THE DRUMS!" and that was the end of the Alchemist and something rose to the top that made things much more interesting. It was as if a grave digger dug up an unknown talent. BRAINCULT, formed by the former guitarist of Cryptic and The Alchemist, became a great way for the Dixon brothers to get ready for the real thing. The band was based on everything that sucks in life. This gave the band lots of ideas for songs including parodies of songs by Marilyn Manson and Linkin Park. The most rememberable creations from the 2 person band was "Words Of Wisdom" and "Japanese Man." Later on, Tom Maddox found his way to the brothers talent causing them to toss around more ideas and change the band name. With names like Lost Existence and Guaderati, the band knew they weren't getting anywhere. Dave changed the position from a singer to a drummer and that seemed to work out well considering the band needed a drummer before they found the right guy to sing. A second guitarist? Yep. Punk inspired guitarist Kyle Donuhue entered the band and began working with Keith well starting off with old songs from the previous bands to a Slayer cover called "Bloodline," This is when the new name hit us. Omnipresence- The state of being everywhere at all times. The band practiced for a long time and are still looking for the missing piece in the puzzle. They needed a vocalist. The band decided that they could still use David until they found one but the search still continues. With a remake of Words Of Wisdom (now known as 'W.O.W') and a new song, "Shadow Of Us All" the band has a future ahead of them. The band truly is everywhere at all times and may even record a demo with Jan Wickline: a one eyed producer with a cane. The Omnipresence has only begun. -written by dave dixon Dave Dixon drums/vocals/lyrics/samples Keith Dixon Guitars/backing vocals/lyrics/samples Tom Maddox Bass Kyle Donuhue* guitar/backing vocals *May no longer be in Omnipresence
