MOTHERSHOCKER is a 10-minute short dream-story unified by way of the shadow, the unexpected fait of reproducing humans in a temporal stream of consciousness, propelled out of mind and on to a visual medium; one that is possible for outsiders to experience. It is the occurrence of the alter ego, the doppelganger, the forgotten side of being awake. It is the gift of vision with eyes closed.

Born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in the tendrils of nomadic artistic parents, Zoe Brown has lived a rich 33 years to date an adventurous, transgressive and amusing life. Breastfeeding her first son through university as she completed her BFA, she opted for the chance again at creating a sane healthy creative environment for her second son by taking on her MFA at Concordia University, subsequently finishing her degree in 2005. She has completed to date five short experimental films and currently resides in Montreal, Quebec.
