Add-ons and requirements:

Add-ons are adjustments you may make to your character's anatomy. Most are not required, but may have certain requirements such as a spell needed to achieve the desired effect.

Wings
This pertains to species that do not naturally have wings, such as fractae, unicorns, and kelpies (felidon, candidon, griffins, and most dragons need not worry about the requirements). It creates a pair of permanent wings on the character's back (NOTE: not the same as a spell that creates ethereal/temporary wings. Such a spell requires no additional requirement spell. If your character has wings that remain on his/her back the entire game or emerge from his/her flesh at will, an additional required spell is needed).

Requirements:
-character must include the spell Feather Vein to their list of spells. Feather Vein makes the character lighter than average for his/her species, allowing for ease of flight.

Gills
This is a required attribute for merfolk and kelpies (lunar dolphins and aquatic dragons breathe air as fractae do, and do not require this spell). Gills allows the caster to breathe underwater without having to go to the surface.

Requirements:
-none

Changeling
This ability is only available to faeriefolk and fae hybrids. It allows the fae to shapeshift into different forms (such as fractae to dragon form), or allows the fae to grow extra appendages for a short time (extra limbs, wings, ect.).

Requirements:
-character may only attain a magick level of bard or lower.
-character will suffer from a "changeling's hangover" after each successful shapeshift. During this time, the character cannot cast a second spell. The character may also become nauseous when around others of fae blood during this time. The hangover must last at least five posts (you must write and send at least five posts before your character can become sober).

Blood/Energy Siphoning
This is what makes a vampire what it is. The character requires fresh blood in order to survive or, in the case of psi vampires, the character drains its victim of life energy.

Requirements:
-character will suffer from Siah’s Bequeathment, the Terra Nova equivilent of the disease porphyria. While a vampiric character will not die or burst into flames in daylight, he/she may develop rashes and/or lesions when exposed to sunlight. The severity of the wounds depends on how long the character has been exposed.
