| 8/15/04 Today I had my Birthday/Farewell/ Miki's Welcome to America Party. It was very fun. Miki is very nice. She's got the smallest appetite ever! Also, the only thing she drinks is orange juice, milk, and water... Even in fun/party places she doesn't drink soda. Oh well. The first full day she was here, my mom and I drove her around Hollywood and took her to Mc Donalds. She was shocked because apparently our mediums are bigger than their large... I'm going to starve! Just kidding. But I will surely lose weight. Oh joy! When we finished lunch, I took her for a walk and I had a long talk about America and certain things she didn't know. It was great, and we dropped by the convinence store to buy her some orange juice and some candy 'cause they don't have Twix or Skittles in Japan. It was super hot that day! WE were glad to go home and we sat down, and then dad came home with plans for going to Dave and Buster's... ...We went. Miki and I played the crap out of the Elvis game. It just threw up tickets at us. We also watched in awe at this one dude who was tearing up the DDR rip-off game. He was the most amazing person ever. He had that song down 'cause there were times where he had his back turned. Miki and I had a hella' lot of tickets so we cashed those in for toys. She got a glove with stars and stripes and says USA on the fist. I got a Zoe doll for my sis- and she loves the hell out that thing. ANYWAYS.... She's very nice and I showed her The Nightmare Before Christmas. She liked Sally and how she could unravel and re-sew herself. Also, she liked the "What's this?" song. I wish I could stay alittle longer... Oh well. I was glad to meet her and Yuki. I shall update when I'm in Japan... SEE YA!!!
3 days till Miki comes to live at my place, and 9 days till I leave for Yuki's home in Japan. Luckily, I will be able to see Yuki twice. Miki, Yuki and I have been talking to each other lots. We're all nervous. I was jealous about Miki replacing me cause my parents were getting new furniture and stuff with her in mind instead of me. Yuki's apparently changing some stuff for me, which makes me feel better.
Yuki sent me some pics of his family. The other pics are of Miki and I. I hate and love the picture of me. I look like Carl from Slingblade. This picture is on my business cards...
"Where'd you get this business cards from, Sabrina?" "I don't know. I just kinda woke up a-hold'n 'em..."
Anyways, I gotta clean my room. The next time I update this, I may be in Japan...! |
