Abethsins history:

Name: Abethsin
Title: The fallen, Wayward child, The wandrer, Death straying away.
Class: Deathknight
Race: Human Exalt

Abethsin once long ago was simply a knight, however very little of his former life is remembered. He has brief memories of love, compassion, care, but these have been all but eradicated from his system. What is known is that Abethsin was not his original birth name, and that he fell in battle against legions of undead. An army led by a creature called a Deathlord was invading small villages and Abethsin went forth to join the resistance against them, but after downing countless undead, he was overwhelmed and suffered a mortal wound. The Deathlord, who went by many names (Silver prince, Bodhisattva, etc), saw potential in the dieing knight. His skill was great, and with eons of training he would do well in his own army. The Silver Prince told the knight that he would save the knight from death. That if he so chose, he would raise once more with a new life, in the service the Deathlord. Selfishly, Abethsin agreed. His soul was taken away and imprisoned for an unknown amount of time by the Deathlord. In this time, his soul was twisted and blackened, made to fit the Silver Princes plans. He was given powers beyond mortal dreams but in return for this, the knight’s fate was to be permanently twisted to the Deathlords. Abethsin awoke in a new body, crafted by the Deathlord to hold the soul of the knight who fought so hard against the legions of death. Abethsin was already forgetting his former life at this time, and he bowed to his new lord willingly. Abethsin, instead of accepting death like was natural, he instead became it. Many would die under his blade in his place. He had no idea of the consequences of his actions yet, but he would learn. The Deathlord sent Abethsin on many small errands. He was sent to obtain this and that. A magic scroll or tome, some artifact, fresh corpses from a cemetery. This and that. He followed his orders well, and the Silver prince in return taught Abethsin the ways of Necromancy and war. Abethsin was a quick and eager student, and took all of the Silver princes lessons and continually asked to learn more. The Prince was pleased with his new child, and it was only a matter of time until he gave his "son" missions that he would trust in no other hands. One of these jobs, and most notably, was the order to massacre an entire village. Abethsin agreed to do as his lord asked, and set out for the village immediately, however things would not go according to plan. As Abethsin arrived at the village, he found it to be undefended. The town housed only commoners and mostly women and children. He strode towards the town, his blade drawn, but something was bothering him. He was having glimmers of his life, some martial pride. He couldn’t bring himself to slaughter these undefended townsfolk, and so he turned back to the Deathlords Citadel. He could feel the displeasure of his Lord, but he knew the Prince would simply send another. Upon his return, however, he was greeted with agony. The prince was furious and flayed Abethsin alive. He removed all of his skin and shattered every bone in his body. He set fire to the exposed tissues, and all the while kept Abethsin magically living and aware. He left his once favorite child in a dungeon somewhere to rot. The prince smiled to himself as he walked away from the bloody pile that was Abethsin. He knew that if, against all odds, Abethsin lived, and he would become even stronger. Destiny tied Abethsin to himself, and his knight would once more return. He had no choice in the matter.
