Well it was over. I managed to make it to the autograph signing, and I survived the hundreds of over weight kids who kept feeding me lines about me being their favorite wrestler. I knew better. The fans don't like me, and I don't try to make them like me, but if they have a chance to get something for free, even if it's only a signature, then they will tell you anything. Now, finally I would get to go home for a few days and get some rest. Or at least that's what I thought, but as I pulled into my drive way, I noticed a car parked in front of my garage. It was Terry Blackstone, the man who I had just resigned as my manager. You see, for a moment, I had forgot how much of a hard ass he could be on the training side of this business, but I guess I was in for a refresher course. I got out of my car, and walked towards his. Terry rolled down the window, and we began to talk. Terry Blackstone Hey Micheal, I was hoping you would make it home sometime soon, I need to talk to you. Micheal Graves Ok, do you want to come inside? Terry Blackstone No, I won't take long. I just wanted to go over your new training schedule with you. Micheal Graves Um... Ok, you couldn't call me for that? Terry Blackstone Yeah, but I would rather talk with you in person. Micheal Graves Ok, well what's up? We going to the gym tonight? Terry Blackstone No, I'm going to go ahead and give you tonight off, but tomorrow, I want you to be at Gold's Gym by 8:00am. I figured we can work on your endurance. Micheal Graves Ok, but honestly, my endurance is fine. Terry Blackstone Not from what I saw. I went back and watched some of those matches you had as Chalupa, and you seemed to get winded quickly in those matches. Then I was talking to a friend of mine who went to the last GNW show, and he said that you got your ass handed to you by this cat named Weapon:Ashen. I looked into it, and I think the reason you lost that match was because he had more stamina then you. Micheal Graves Come one man, my Stamina is fine. Your just imagining things. Terry Blackstone No, you've gotten a little out of shape since WPW went on hiatus, and now your trying to come back to the XWF in piss poor shape. I'm not saying that your a bad wrestler right now, because I think you would still be good even if you gained a hundred pounds, but your capable of being more then just good, you just need to be in shape for it. Micheal Graves Ok fine, tomorrow we will do some cardio exercises. Terry Blackstone Good, now Friday, I was thinking maybe you could start taking a Yoga class. Micheal Graves What!?! I don't want to take Yoga! Terry Blackstone Why not? It's a great way to keep in shape, and gain flexibility. Micheal Graves Terry, I'm a frickin black belt, do you really think I need Yoga? Terry Blackstone Your going to fight me every step of the way on this aren't you? Micheal Graves I just don't see the point in taking a Yoga class. Why don't we just rent a ring, and practice some moves? Terry Blackstone That's Saturday, and part of Sunday. The other half of Sunday will be spent on endurance training. This was already turning out to be a pain in the ass, but Terry did know what he was doing, so I knew that questioning him wasn't going to get me no where. Micheal Graves Ok, we'll try out your new training, I just want to have Monday off. Not only do I need to leave late Sunday night to get to Massacre, but I also want to go into this match 100%. Terry Blackstone That's not a problem, I wanted you rested up before the match anyway. Then I will give you Tuesday off as well, just to rest up from the bumps your going ot take in the ring, so we will continue training on Wednesday. Micheal Graves all right man, sounds good I guess. I'm still not to hot on the Yoga though. Terry Blackstone Don't worry about it, you'll be thanking me once you start to fell the effects of those classes. Micheal Graves We'll see. Terry Blackstone Anyway man, I have to get back to the house. I'll see you tomorrow. Micheal Graves all right, later man. I waved Terry off as he pulled out of the driveway, and then I went inside. Again, I was thinking about Destiny. I decided that this was the time to call her. I mean, I want to try and get back together with her, and I know that isn't going to happen unless I make the first move. I walked into the living room, and took a seat on my couch. I pulled out my cell phone, and pulled up her number. Before sending the call through, I paused for a second, but I decided not to think about it, and just do it, so I pressed the send call button. Ring . .. Ring . .. Destiny Hello? God it was nice to hear her voice again. I just made me miss her more though. Micheal Graves Hi babe... how's it going? Destiny Micheal? Micheal Graves Yeah, it's me. Destiny What do you want? She didn't sound too happy to hear my voice on the other hand. I was beginning to think this was a mistake. Micheal Graves Well, I just wanted to talk. Destiny We don't have anything to talk about Micheal. Micheal Graves Yes we do... US. Destiny (sigh) Micheal, there is no us, you made sure of that. I hate to admit it, but she was right, our current breakup was my fault. Micheal Graves Listen, I made mistakes, I said some things I didn't mean. I was angry... Destiny That's no excuse. Micheal Graves I know, but... Suddenly, I just didn't know what to say. I drew a total blank. Destiny But what? Micheal Graves Listen, can we maybe meet somewhere, maybe over diner? I would rather talk about this face to face. Destiny Micheal... It's over between us. I'm seeing someone else now, and I think it would be best if we didn't see each other. Seeing someone else? Who? Why? It was hard to take in, but not only did I drive her away from me, but I also drove her to another man! At that moment, I didn't know what to do. I panicked, and released the call. I sat there looking at the cell phone, replaying the last thing Destiny said to me over and over. Maybe, I thought, it was over between us. ![]() |
