![]() It's
been about half an hour since I last talked to Terry. He asked me to
meet him at this bar that he used to go to whenever he was in town,
apparently they serve one hell of a steak, and are open late. As I get
closer to the place, I notice that this is a redneck bar I'm going too.
Two things come to mind quick, Rednecks mostly watch wrestling, and
they don't normally have a liking for goths. Sure, my personality on TV
may be a little exaggerated, I might add a little flavor to the Graves
on TV, compared to the real me, but still, these guys don't know that.
And I can't help but wonder why Terry would knowingly ask me to such a
place.
I try to put that in the back of my mind as I park my motorcycle in front of the building. I remove my skull painted helmet, and place it on the "bitch" seat. Looking around at some of the "cowboys" walking both in and out of this bar, I can't help but think this could turn into trouble if I'm not careful. I get off the bike, and begin walking towards the bar entrance. surprisingly, nobody says anything to me, or tries to provoke me in any way. Once inside, I take a quick look around, absorbing my new environment. There isn't that many people in here really. A few older men sit up at the bar, all looking like they are ready to pass out. A table of 5 sit on the other side of the bar, eating and laughing. I begin to think that the only problem I'll have with this place is the God awful Travis Trit that is playing on the jukebox. Terry, noticing me standing in the entrance of the bar waves for me to come over. I nod and smirk a little as I make my way to the booth Terry is sitting at. I notice that he already has a plate, and the picture of beer on his table is over half empty. Micheal Graves Couldn't wait for me I see. Terry Blackstone What can I say man, I was hungry, and your one slow f***er. We both laughed as I took my seat across from Terry. An older female waitress came up to the booth almost the second I sat down. She just smiled as asked in a heavy southern accent. Waitress What can I get for you dear? Micheal Graves Well I hear you guys make one hell of a steak. Waitress Best in the county if you ask any of our customers. Micheal Graves I bet, let me go ahead and get a T-bone then. Waitress Ok dear, and fries wit that? Micheal Graves No, but I'll take a salad on the side. Waitress And how would you like your steak honey? Micheal Graves Very rare. Waitress And to drink? Micheal Graves Beer is fine. The waitress smiled, and told me it would be just a minute for my beer. I smiled and nodded to her. Finally, my attention was back to Terry, who was just sitting there downing his steak like there was no tomorrow. Micheal Graves Well, I've thought about it. That was enough right there to bring Terry's attention away from his plate, and back to me. He looked up, and wiped his mouth with a napkin as he tried to chew up the massive bite of steak. Terry Blackstone Mmm... mmm... Ok... and? Terry continued trying to choke down his food as I just chuckled to myself at the sight of him. Micheal Graves And I'm thinking it might not be such a bad idea to have you back by my side. Terry Blackstone Great, we'll get Jonathyn to draw up the paper work in the morning. Micheal Graves Sure, but we will have to go early, I need to try and get in touch with Keith about our tag match. I want to make sure we are on the same page. Surly he wants the Tag titles and a spot on Anarchy as bad as me. Terry Blackstone No doubt man, he would be crazy if he didn't. Micheal Graves His mental state isn't in question, he's just as crazy as I am. Terry Blackstone Really, how do you know? I had a past with Mr. Sharpe, but I didn't need to tell Terry everything. some things aren't meant to be shared, and this was one of them. Micheal Graves Just a gut feeling, I can feel it in my blood, ya know? Terry Blackstone No, I don't know, but I gave up trying to understand you years ago. I smirked at that remark. I never was an easy one to understand, neither in or out of the ring. That's just how I am. The waitress finally came back with my beer and food. the plate the steak was on was drenched in blood from the raw steak, just the way I liked it, I thanked her and began to eat. Tomorrow, I would try to contact Keith. |
