The Path of the Deserts Embrace
1] Sands Whisper - The Thaumaturge calls on the voice of the desert itself to whisper of those who travel through the desert.
2] Saharran Caress - Calling on the very sands of the desert the Thaumaturge raises a wind making a minor sandstorm in his area. The whipping sands sting at the flesh and can make it hard to see or speak without the sands causing pain or discomfort to those in the area. However if the Thaumaturge himself isnt ready for the sandstorm himself he could also be caught in its effects.
3] Maw of the Desert - drawing at the sands as they flow from under the feet of the target enough to bury them 30ft under the surface. This happens within a few seconds as the sands close back to entomb their victim in the depths. For mortals this means that unless they are dug out quickly they will die from lack of oxygen, vampires will be unable to move from the pressure of the sands around them.
4] Flesh of the Land - this changing the body of the Thaumaturge into a body of sand that can dissolve to flow through the desert unseen at very high speeds. reforming anywhere there is enough volume of sand to recreate thier bodies. an extra perk of this is wounds taken before the change into the sand form vanish as the sands rebuild the body whole. blood that was lost is not replace only the physical shell of the Thaumaturge is repaired.
5] Pillars of Dark Faith - the ultimate power of the desert calling on things lost to many years under the sands. As this power is invoked tall obsidian pillars rise from the sands in a 50ft radius around the caster, 10 in total as the warmth in them begins to grow as the heat from centuries in the blistering sands collects. Once the last pillar rises the heat flares casting a beam to a area in the center of the circle of Pillars opening up the way for the Dread Gaze of Ra. The full fury of the Suns light and heat on the blistering sands of the desert opens up on the target and they take damage and troubles equal as if they were standing out in the middle of the desert at high noon.
The Path of the Reborn
[powers of this path are only available to Lector Priests with established Blasphemy Shrines. Those who are not of the Priesthood and have a shrine would not be able to call on the blessings of the Dark Gods. ]
1] Khnums' Creation - The dark Priest calls on the blessings of Khnum on his work casting his influence over the target before him. At this time the Priest can work changes of the basic structure of the targets body. Fixing or breaking bones, mending or tearing flesh, and the rebuilding or atrophy of muscle structure as if the person was still on the table of Khnum being created for birth.
2] Arrows of Sekhmet - drawing back his hand the Priest lets loose a ebon beam that moves at the speed of light to impact into a target burrowing into their flesh. The blessing of the dark goddess of pestilence and disease flowing through as the persons energy just seems to begin to fade away from them. using thier powers doubles the drain out of them as thier bodies begin to grow to weak to support thier supernatural nature. The only cure for this is a full 24 hours of rest making use of none of their powers, any of these being used resets the timer of their rest causing the plague set in to continue
3] Gift of Thoth - The blessing of the God of Magic rains down on the faithful servant of the gods increasing their magical strength. Thaumaturgy paths used while under the blessing of the dark god, which lasts 1 hour per point of Faith, lowers difficulty rolls by 2 in the first hour and by 1 for the rest of the duration.
4] Whispers of Sutekh - The dark god Set which covers over the nature of corruption and vice seems to flow along the area around the Priest. to the target of this power the influence of Set draws a desire to serve the Priesthood in restoring the full glory of the dark gods once more on the lands of Egypt. a willpower check at difficulty 6 for the Priest and 8 for the victim must be made. If the victim wins the power is resisted, if the Priest wins the victim must make a roll against willpower diff 6 anytime they look to perform an action counter to the will of the Priesthood. The diffculty rises to an 8 to resist a order from one of the Priests in person, a 10 in the great temple as the power of the dark gods and more so Set is strongest in these places.
5] Scales of Anubis - this power is one that has a impact different depending on who it is used on. for those of supernatural origin it causes the scales to tip and reversing the balance of their life. The stronger become weak, their powers removed from them as they hold against the balance as should they chose to use thier powers its a level of aggravated damage per level of the disc used. For mortals this gives them the ability to use powers at a level equal to as if they were a chylde of the Thaumaturge for 24 hours. They must be taught powers to use and can learn before just would be unable to do them. This does not mean that they can feed as they would have to take blood like a ghoul to replenish their meager supply to fuel the discs. a great way to draw somebody into being a ghoul or if done right to addict them to the power of the discs enough to blood bond them.
