Buffy - Designed to Be An Icon

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The name inspires either a gush of “Oh My God, I Love That Show” or an eye roll. I mean really! How good can a show be with the words Buffy and Vampire in the title? Plus there was that God-Awful movie of the same name.

Of course anyone who’s doing the eye-rolling has never sat down and really given the show a chance. I could probably write books on the depths & layers of this show; how Joss changed the image of the helpless blond girl in the alley; the themes; the characters and their expansion of stereotypes; the correlations with the real life struggle of high school; Joss’s genius and disguising common yet painful events in the metaphors of the demon world; what it all means in the grand sceme of life. But for the most part that’s all been done & given the amount of free time I have in my live I don’t want to write a book & wouldn’t if I couldn’t do something different or better than what’s been done.

Then why do this page? I don’t know yet. I haven’t figured out what I want to put her. But when I do, I will. Until then, check out some links……
