Variable Geo

Info

Run time: 90 Minutes
Rating: 17+, Animated Violence, Brief Nudity, and Mature Themes
Theme: Action

Background

"The special of the day is VARIABLE GEO: a brutal battle between waitresses who serve up generous portions of energy blasts and vicious side orders or murderous martial artistry. For buffed beauties that make below-minimum wage, VG is the perfect way to score some fast cash. The victor walks away with millions, and the defeated loses everything (namely, all her clothes).
But this high-stakes sport has dark forces and dubious practices behind the fun and games. Evil injections that make steroids seem like vitamins. Instead of team prayer, there's demonic possession. Athletic sponsors are malevolent corporations with a more frightening agenda than increased market share.
It's all just part of the game. So order up a steamy, sexy serving of VARIABLE GEO. It's all you can eat and more than you can handle."

Review

I was open-minded when I began watching Variable Geo, I mean a bunch of babes fighting and then the loser has to strip?! How could it go wrong? Yah well. . .It did. The animation looks nice but it seems a bit low budget. Same with the plot. Gorgeous waitresses that have to fight for money and honor? Sure I'll buy it, but does the whole world revolve around it, I mean in the opening episode, a ring forms in the middle of the street and people gather around. I just didn't like this anime at all. The only reason I bought it was because the chicks had to take off their clothes, but trust me its nothing special. Its weird that this anime is rated 17+ when the only people that would find it enjoyable are 10 - 14 year olds. If your looking for time to kill and you've rented everything else at your local Blockbuster, go ahead and give this one a shot, who knows, maybe you'll find it interesting.

Overall:
Overall: 5 (Blah) / A decent one-time watch for the younger audiences that don't care about plot. Rent it if that sounds good. . .
