I couldn't pass up this photograph. I was on my way back to UAA to meet Lorraine for lunch when I passed this beauty sitting by the road. This motorhome was parked just off the Old Seward Highway. This 2000 model is a steal at $129, 995! Taken at 031119R August 2002.

Taken at 032108R August 2002. 2249 ADT, Saturday, 3 August 2002. Arrived at the Riley Creek Campground about 2200. Found a nice site (96) and settled in -- sloppy joe mix, beans, rice, and tortillas on the menu tonight. A few mosquitoes, but not too bad. Lorraine went to half the last day of the conference. I joined her for lunch (chicken, salad, fruit). No formal speaker for lunch today -- the Executive Director of the AINA talked about the next conference (to be held in Calgary) and talked a bit about AINA. We then had three younger conference participants discuss their perspectives on the conference. During the morning, I went to a bead store on Old Seward Highway. While going there, I found a flag store, where I bought an Alaska flag and a U. S. flag. There's a Borders Books and Music near the flag store, and there's a Best Buy opening across the street. We stopped at the BX/PX to do a little shopping on the way out of town. We also needed to get gasoline. Several interesting sites along the road. Stopped in Cantwell -- looks like a fascinating place. Saw a small cabin for sale for $74,000. Wow. Saw a small fox while we were looking for a campsite this evening.
