Lighting Strikes Twice by mardel SBR nc-17 Disclaimer I just borrowed them for the story they are owned by Kronish Productions Sam was on her way home for the evening. She was just making the turn off the parkway onto Peachtree Road, when there was a loud clap of thunder, and a bolt of lighting hit a tree just in front of her car. Sam swerved to miss the falling tree and almost hit another car. She pulled to the side of road and collected herself. The tree was blocking most of the road, so she reached for her cell phone to call the police. But it was dead, the static electrical charge in the air from the lighting having scrambled it's works. The rain was now falling in sheets. Sam knew the tree would be hard to see in the pour visibility. She had flares in her trunk, but she wasn't sure they would stay lit in the hard rain. She put on her flashers, and pulled her hair up in a clip from her purse, if she was going to get wet she wanted her hair out of her face. Sam climbed out of her vehicle opened the trunk, she pulled the strip on the first flare and it burst into flame. The rain was easing up slightly so the flare was a glow in the grayness. She took several others and walked back towards the fallen tree. Sam placed a warning flare at the corner, then several others on the street to warn drivers of the hazard. Traffic was still moving on the main street but she saw no cars turning on to Peachtree Road. A second lighting strike hit the part of the tree that was still standing, knocking a huge branch off, it hit Sam as she was walking back towards her truck. ::::::::::: George was the first to realize that Sam was missing. He always checked on her surveillance cameras when she was at the firehouse. The specialist assigned to monitor those cameras also had other duties. George wanted to make sure they were safe. He tried to call her on her cell phone. Thinking the storm may have delayed her trip home. It switched to her voice mail on the first ring. He knew he should call Bailey at once, but he was afraid to sound the alarm if she wasn't in trouble. "Bailey, Sam isn't home yet, did she mention making any stops on the way?" "No, maybe it's the storm, did you call her cell phone." "It's not working." "Get a car out on the route to her house. I'll check with the police in the area. It could be a traffic snarl up from the storm." Bailey reached for his phone. George spoke with the agent in charge of assignments, who sent several agents out to look for Sam's truck. George called John, " Sam's missing, we don't know, it could be Jack or the storm or something else." "I'll be there in a few minutes, I'll check from the firehouse to you." "There are several reports of traffic accidents, she could be held up in traffic." Bailey reported to George. "John is on his way to the firehouse, and then back track to here." "Good, Jack has never pulled one of his kidnappings during a rain storm lets hope he keeps to that MO." Bailey paced over to look out the window at the pouring rain. George was checking with the local hospitals for any female accident victims brought in since the storm started. He wasn't finding anything. John arrived at the scene of Sam's accident after she had been removed to a hospital. Her truck was also gone, but he had a strong feeling that she had been there when the tree was struck by lighting. "Bailey, there was an accident on Peachtree Road, the officer on watch here said, he wasn't stationed until after the first officer had left the scene for another accident. It looks like a tree was hit by lighting, I don't know if it was Sam or not." "OK, John keep looking, we will check with the police and the hospitals." "George," "I have checked the hospitals, they only update their records every fifteen to thirty minutes. When there is a crisis, like this storm, it takes even longer." "OK, George I'm going to call about her truck, maybe the impound guys know something." "I'm sorry man, we have pulled in two dozen cars and trucks since the rain started, all of the paper work won't get processed until the drivers are back from their shifts. " "You mean I can't get my car back until the shift ends?" "If they brought it here it probably isn't in any condition to drive." "Thank you." Bailey wanted to slam the phone down. "Anything?" He walked out to George's work area. "Nothing yet, maybe we could send some people out to the hospitals to look for her it might be faster?" "I've been thinking about doing that, how many hospitals are there in Atlanta?" "Three in the imitate area, I can take one, John and you." George offered. " Send John and I'll take the other two, I want you hear to keep tabs on everything." Bailey knew George could process three times the information he could when searching data bases for people. " I'll tell John to check Memorial, you take City Hospital and Angel." "I'll keep in touch Georgie." Bailey held up his cell phone. "John, where are you?" "Almost back to HQ, and no sign of her. Traffic is a bitch. What next?" "Check Memorial Hospital, look personally at any new arrivals since the storm started." "Got it, I'm on it." Bailey was praying they found Sam soon, he hated this. The last time she had gone missing it had been Jack. He prayed it was something simple, like whiplash if she had been hurt. "Agent Malone with the FBI, I need to check any recent arrivals to emergency." "If you tell me what you're looking for I can help you find it." The head nurse who had just finished sending a lab test blocked his way. "A woman may have been brought here after an accident, she is in great danger, she is a protected witness." Bailey explained "We have several female patients, only two came in by ambulance, one is in x-ray the other is there on that exam table. Bailey turned to look, finding an older woman being stitched up. "What does she look like?" "Tall, blonde mid thirties." "The woman in x-ray if black, so she must not be here." "Thank you, if she should come in could you call this number?"Bailey handed her his business card. "Yes, I'll call if she comes here." John was having no luck finding Sam either, he pushed past the orderly at Memorial Hospital that tried to keep him from the emergency area. "I'm a federal agent, this is a matter of national security." He explained while looking in all six of the treatment rooms. "Sir, you can't just barge in here and look around." A middle aged nurse, attempted to stop John from looking in the rooms. "Are there any more accident victims? She would have come in by ambulance. She is a young blond woman, tall with blue eyes." "We haven't had any women come in by ambulance tonight." "You're sure?" "Yes, the only women were brought in by family members." "Show me," John looked down at her, " Please this is important." "Alright, come with me," The nurse lead him down several hallways to x-ray. "We have to wait until the light is off." John paced, he was scared he wasn't going to find Sam. "Alright you can look inside." She held the door open a crack. John prayed it was Sam inside, but it wasn't her. He turned to the nurse. "Thank you, are there any more possibilities?" "That was the last one, she could have been taken to another hospital." :::::::::::: Bailey was driving to Angel Hospital, all the while praying he found Sam. "George, nothing yet, have you found anything?" "The police have their hands full, the officer on duty sent to the accident at Peachtree Road is still out at the scene of a huge pile up on the interstate. I've been checking the computer records, nothing." "Keep at it George, she has to be somewhere. If it was Jack he would have left us a message, he always signs his work." Bailey approached the desk at emergency. "May I help you sir?" "Yes, please I'm Agent Malone with the FBI, we are looking for a woman who may have been brought in by ambulance, she is tall, blond, mid thirties?" "I'm sorry we haven't received anyone by that description this evening." The nurse told him. "May I look for myself?" "That really isn't necessary, I have just told you no one of that description has been admitted." "This woman's life is in great danger, she is a protected witness." "Let me speak to the person in charge please." Bailey was a half second away from pushing past this woman and looking for himself. "I am the person in charge, do I have to call security?" "Please do, maybe they will listen to reason." "Look Agent Malone, why won't you take our word for it, no blond women have been admitted tonight." the security guard reasoned with him. "I just want to look, what can that hurt?" "It's against policy." While Bailey was arguing with the officer, John was coming up the hall dressed in scrubs. He was making an end run on the treatment rooms while no one was looking. He was disappointed to not locate her. He shook his head no, when he returned to the hall. Then disappeared back the way he had come. :::::::::::::::::: John and Bailey were discussing their next move. Bailey wanted to speak with the officer who had arrived at the accident scene first. He was still out with the huge accident on the interstate. "What about the impound lot, we could go look ourselves?" John proposed. "You drive I'll leave my car here." "You're sure those are all the cars and trucks brought in tonight?" John asked the man working the impound lot. "That's all of them." "What about cars you bring in for parking violations or that aren't banged up?" "That's not us, we only do accident scenes, if it was parking or DWI those are handled by the lot on Tenth." "Come on John, I have an idea." Bailey moved towards John's bureau car. "Agent Malone and Grant do you have any records of bringing in a Truck with this license number, it was today." "Let me check, yeah, it's in space 1210, do you want to claim it?" "Yes," Bailey pulled out his cell phone, "George, we found the truck, have a crime scene team sent to the impound lot on tenth st. I want all precautions taken.' John had rushed down the rows to look for Sam's truck. It was fine, no smashed windshield or fenders. Sam's purse was still inside, sitting on the floor of the passenger seat. John was looking through the side window, he knew not to touch anything. "No sign she was hurt, or abducted, her cell phone is there on the seat." John told Bailey as he came up to look at the truck. "Do you think it was Jack?" "We will know when the crime team gets here. If there isn't a message I'm betting it wasn't Jack." Bailey shook his head. ::::::::::::: Sam was at a hospital, but she had been taken in by a man who had arrived at the same time as the officer. He was a EMT on his way to work, he took Sam to Memorial Hospital she had regained consciousness on the drive to the hospital. But she had a concision and no ID, they were keeping her for observation. She didn't remember who she was, and she was tired. She was allowed to sleep but they woke her ever few hours to check her eyes and make her talk, to check for hemorrhaging. ::::::::::::: The black light test found nothing, no message from Jack. "Check for anything, finger prints and fibers just in case." Bailey ordered. "Do you want to check the hospitals again?' "Maybe we should check some of those urgent care centers, there is one on the way to the firehouse. Maybe Sam wasn't hurt badly, and she just getting stitched up." "A good Samaritan, took her, you mean?" John was following Bailey's line of reasoning. It wasn't until after midnight that George found her, or at least the chance of it being Sam. "Bailey, there is a report of a blonde woman at Memorial Hospital, she was brought in during the storm, she was found unconscious. She has a concision, and memory loss." "John, let's go, good work Georgie, " Bailey grabbed his coat and rushed towards the door to the stairs. John was right behind him. "I'll call Grace to meet you there." Bailey was so relieved to have found her, he wanted to rush to her bedside and hold her close. "She is sleeping, her head has a large contusion and she is having memory loss. She can be released after a few tests tomorrow, if we don't find any damage." The Doctor was explaining to Grace, Bailey and John. "It the memory loss permanent?" "It's hard to tell, this soon, but usually the memory loss is temporary. She may never remember the day of the accident, but she should remember her name and other personal information soon." "Thank you Doctor." Bailey looked to Grace, who spoke with Doctor privately after he had briefed them. "It's not unusual for this to happen after a blow to the head. Her chart looks good. I think she will be fine Boss." Grace came to stand next to him looking through the doorway. She knew how Bailey left about Sam, she had never understood why he wouldn't tell her. Grace placed a hand on his back, " You didn't fail her Bail, it was an accident." "I know Grace thanks." He looked very sad, his eyes dark with sorrow. "When will be know something?" "They are running a scan tomorrow morning, so by eleven maybe sooner." Bailey nodded, and turned to John, "You should go home and get some sleep, thanks for all your help John." " I care about her to Bailey, there is no reason to thank me. I'll check back in a few hours." Bailey spent the rest of the night in the waiting area. The wing Sam was in was quite, most on the patients on her hall were recovering from surgery. He slept a little sitting in a chair near the window. He dreamed about the first time he had met Sam. She was a student when he was lecturing at Quantico. She was one of those stand out students. Besides her beauty, she asked intelligent questions and participated in discussions. Grace was back at the hospital by eight, " How are you holding up Bailey?" "I had a nap in the waiting room. Another cup of coffee and I'll be fine." He held up his first cup full as he spoke. He had cleaned up around six, getting his ready kit out of his Bronco. They just took Sam for the scan, we should know something soon. "They wouldn't let me see her, don't they want to find out if she remembers people she knows?' "One thing at a time, first the scan then the other tests." "Sam we want you look at these two people and tell us if you remember them?" Sam was feeling fine except for a slight head ache. "Alright." Grace and Bailey entered the room. She looked at them both, she knew the man that was her husband, Bailey. The woman she wasn't sure about. "Do you know them?" "Yes, that's Bailey my husband, the woman with him looks familiar but I'm not sure." Bailey and Grace exchanged glances, when she said husband. He wasn't sure how he should react, go along or tell her she was wrong. "Come here you, where have you been?" "I was out of town when you had your accident. But you look good Sam." Bailey moved to embrace her. Sam held him close for several seconds. The Doctor had warned them to not prompt her, he hadn't said she might not remember things correctly. "Can I go home now that Bailey is here?" Sam asked her doctor. "We have a few more tests, but you can go home soon." He motioned for Grace to follow him back out into the hallway. "I've not heard of this before remembering people, but thinking they are family members instead of co-workers. Do Sam and Agent Malone have a history?" " They have a very special relationship, they depend on each other. But they aren't a couple in the husband/wife way. They do love one another." "I see, I think could Sam have stronger feelings for him than either of you are aware? Perhaps she is projecting her true desire to have him as her husband. You said her husband had been killed recently?" "Yes, a few years ago. It's possible Sam is in love with Bailey. Should he play along until she regains her memory or tell her the truth?" "Telling her she remembers incorrectly could be a set back. I think he should play along for a little while if there isn't a reason he shouldn't, is he married?" "No anymore." Grace had a half smile on her face, when she went back in Sam's room. Bailey was half sitting on her bed holding her hand. Sam was leaning into his side, eyes closed. Grace mouthed to him 'play along.' bailey nodded and rolled his eyes. "Sam there a few more tests scheduled for later today. You rest now and we will let Bailey come back and see you later." "He can't stay with me?" "Not now, he will come back later." Sam touched the back of his hand to her cheek, " See you later, Malone." "I'll be back Sam." he smiled at her. "What was that all about? You think it's going to help her regain her memory if I pretend to be her husband?" Bailey questioned the doctor and Grace. "Until the tests are complete at least yes." "It can't hurt Bailey, and you can't tell me you mind?" Grace added. "That's not the point Gracie, it's not the truth." Bailey had to admit he liked having Sam's attention, holding her was sweet torture. "The tests were fine, it's just memory loss. Sam can go home tomorrow, I had them delay for a day so we can plan." Grace told Bailey. "You mean you want me to continue to pretend? What about Angel and Chloe?" "I've spoken to Angel, she thinks they can pull it off, Chloe loves you and she understands it's to help her mom get better. They are both coming this afternoon, Sam asked about Chloe a few minutes ago, she may be remembering more already." "You should go get a few of your things and put them at the firehouse, George is going to meet you there and set up access for you to the upper floor. " "What about Sam's work does she remember anything?" "She thinks she is a photographer, you are an agent. Chloe is your child together." Bailey wasn't liking the sound of this, he didn't want to pretend. His heart wasn't going to be able to take acting like her husband and then once she regained her memory, going back to his own home alone. "Mommy," Chloe jumped into her mother's lap. "Chloe sweetie, did you miss me?' "You're coming home now aren't you mom?" "Yes, the doctor said I can go home tomorrow. Is Angel with you?" "I'm here," Angel stepped into the room. "You remember me?" "Sure, I just forget a few other things not the people I care about." Sam said, looking at Angel and smiling. Bailey brought most of his clothes and a few other things over to the firehouse. They weren't going to be able to pull off the charade very long. The cameras were removed, the surveillance was pulled and it was going to be up to John, Bailey and Nathan to keep Sam safe for the next week. When Sam arrived at the firehouse the following day Bailey was hopeful it would jar her memory. The doctor said it could take days or week for it to return. It could all come back in one rush of emotion or in small pieces. "It's good to be home. Chloe is at school?' "Yes, she missed half a day yesterday." Bailey explained, "Do things look familiar?" "Yes, same as it was when I left the other day." Sam was touching things, looking at her framed pictures on the wall. "Are you going back to work?" " For a few hours, I'll be home this afternoon. Angel is in her work shop down stairs. You promised to take it easy for the rest of the week." "I know, go on and go back to work I'm fine Bail." Sam kissed him, her mouth sweet and soft against his. Bailey couldn't help but embrace her when she kissed him, holding her a moment to keep her mouth pressed to his. Sam wrapped her arms around his neck, and deepened the kiss, her tongue sneaking out his. Bailey responded, having wanted to kiss her for what seemed like forever. When she eased back and looked at him, "Maybe you could stay with me for a little while?" "The doctor advised against that so soon, something about blood vessels and strokes." Bailey remind her, which was true, but he was glad of the excuse. He was so close to becoming aroused. "I'll be here when you get home, now go on." she pushed him, teasing. Bailey had to sit in his bronco and collect himself, after that kiss. He hoped Sam's memory returned soon, he couldn't take much more and it was only the first day. "How did it go?" "Grace, she seems fine, happy, glad to be home. But I don't know how long I can keep up this lie." "Maybe this is just what you needed to push you into telling her you love her." Grace smiled at him. Bailey looked at her shocked, he should have known he couldn't hide his feelings from everyone. He tried to guard his feelings around Sam, but when she went missing he hadn't pretended he was just concerned. "It's all there in your eyes Bail, when you look at Sam. How she can't see it is beyond me. But then maybe she does, that's why she remembers you as her husband." "She doesn't love me that way Grace." " Are you sure? Why else would she believe she was married to you?" "But even if she believes it, it still isn't the truth." "Sometimes we have to make our own truth Bail. I'd say you'll know by tonight if it's that kind of love." Bailey picked Chloe up at school, so he could remind her about him living at the firehouse and pretending to be married to her mom. "I know, it will be fun having you stay over. I can still call you Bailey?" "Yeah, we told Sam that I'm her second husband. She didn't remember, but she accepted it." "OK, good now I have a whole family." Chloe said and clapped her hands. It wasn't until Bailey came to bed that evening that the trouble started. He was wearing pajamas, the only pair he owned. Sam was wearing a modest white nightgown, but it was almost see through. Bailey had taken a mostly cold shower before joining her in bed. Sam was brushing her hair, when he entered the room. She was a beautiful sight to his eyes, her beautiful blonde hair spread out over her back as she brushed. Her figure revealed by her gown. His mouth went dry, as he watched her. His groin began to tingle. He had to look away, to keep from becoming fully aroused. "Are you sure we have to behave this week, we can't sneak in a little something?" Sam asked as she turned out the light and moved to rest against him. "It's for you health and safety sweetheart, so I'm going to have keep my promise." Sam snuggled her cheek into his body, wrapping an arm around his chest. "Alright this is almost as good. You feel so strong and solid. Sleep well my love." Bailey didn't sleep well, he stared at the ceiling most of the night. He loved having Sam in his arms, pressed close to his side. But being painfully aroused for hours, was difficult to endure. He had finally drifted of to sleep and woke at dawn. His brain fuzzy at first when he woke up. Sam was still resting in his arms, but he had to leave. He couldn't spend another minute with her with out acting on his needs. He had loved her for so long it was torture to not consummate that love. "You were leaving early this morning?" Sam came out to the kitchen as Bailey was getting himself some coffee. "I got a call, there is a new break in the current case. I'll call and talk to you this afternoon." Bailey kissed her quickly, and grabbed his brief case. He was flashing back to dozens of mornings with Janet when he had repeated the very same morning scene. How many times had he put her off when he was working a case. It was no wonder she had finally divorced him. Sam was cleaning the house and developing pictures from a new roll of film when she flashed on images of death. She was fighting the images, not wanting to leave her safe new reality. By the end of the week Bailey was exhausted, he hardly slept when Sam was snuggled next to him in bed. He was nearly constantly aroused when she was near him. She had kissed him several times, like that first day. He had promised her they would make love soon, when the doctor gave his permission. Chloe was visiting her grandparents for the weekend. Angel was off on a trip to collect a special block a limestone she wanted. "Grace, we need to do something to jar her memory." "You aren't taking my advice about letting it just happen. You know a powerful emotional experience might just do the trick." Grace told him, she was playing match maker and didn't even worry that she could be wrong. Bailey wasn't getting the answers he wanted from Grace so he asked George to research memory loss. "Bailey, the literature does say emotions can trigger memory. It also says if she hasn't regained her memory within thirty days the chances of it returning are reduced by ten percent for each month after." "Thanks George, it's not the answer I was hopping for, but I trust your information." Sam was waiting for him when he got home. " I hope you had a good day, I have a nice dinner ready. It's just the two of us tonight." Bailey kissed her, in greeting but kept the kiss neutral. "Dinner smells wonderful, let me wash up." He knew he was just putting off the inevitable. He would enjoy making love with Sam, he had dreamed of little else over the last few years. But, he only wanted her true feelings. He felt anything less would be cheating them both of the real thing. Sam knew he was tense, but she thought it was from his work day. She didn't realize it was because of her. She had been looking forward to their evening alone all day. She knew making love to Bailey was wonderful, but she couldn't remember the details. Her memory had been coming back in little pieces, she had talked to Angel about it before she left. "You mean Bailey was willing to pretend we were married?" "Grace and your doctor maintained it would be better for you, telling you that your memory was coming back wrong would set you back." Angel explained, as she understood it. "Are you going to tell him?" "Yes, of course." "What about your plans for tonight? You love him Sam why not give yourself a break and take some happiness for yourself?" "It wouldn't be fair to Bailey, I'm not sure I could give him up afterwards." "Who says you have to?" "If Jack knew how much I cared for Bailey." "Sam he knows everything else about you, what makes you think he doesn't know you love Bailey?" Sam nodded deep in thought. She wasn't sure what she would do. "Bailey can you tell me about the case that is bothering you?" "I'm sorry have I been poor company?" He looked over at her, she was more beautiful this evening than usual. It was making everything more difficult for him. "You're never poor company." Sam rose from her chair and came to stand behind him. She placed one hand on each broad shoulder and inhaled. She loved his scent, spice, musk and something she always thought of as male. Bailey. She leaned over and caressed her hands down his chest, hugging him. "I want to make love to you Bailey, I want you first time together to be special." Bailey couldn't believe his ears, their first time together. He reached around her body with his arm and drew her onto his lap. "When did your memory come back?" "This afternoon. I couldn't believe you were willing to pretend we were married just to help me recover." "I would do anything in the world for you Sam." "I know that now Bail, I love you so much." She kissed him, her tongue stroking over his full lower lip. Bailey met her passion, with controlled desire. His tongue pushing past her lips and plunging side her mouth. Sam squirmed on his lap, wanting to feel more of him. Her actions brought this growing erection to completion that much faster. 'We should go to the bedroom, I can't wait for you much longer." Sam stood up keep his hand in hers. Bailey was overcome with his need and just followed her. "Would you let me undress you Bail?" His beautiful dark eyes were smoldering with desire for her, but he nodded. He was going to enjoy every minute of their time together. Sam pushed his jacket off, and lay it aside. Bailey toed off his shoes, and reached to undo his tie. Sam stopped him. "I want to do it all." She slide the knot down and pulled until the tie was free of his collar, letting it drop to the floor. Then she unbuttoned his top button, Bailey's hands were balled in to fists at his side as he stood still for her. Sam lingered over each button a moment, then pulled his shirt tail free and spread his shirt open. "Bailey?! I never knew you were this powerfully built." She spread her hands wide over his well muscled chest, ruffling though the dark hair. Caressing him from shoulder to flat abdomen. "You have been holding out on me." Sam pushed his shirt off, and stroked a hand over the hard rise of his biceps. Bailey opened his eyes, when she stoked her hand over his arm. She was mesmerized by his build. He had never known her to be attracted to well muscled men, she had once cemented that men with more muscle than brains were not her idea of the perfect man. Sam blinked, and looked into Bailey dark eyes. "I'm getting off track here, let me help you with those pants." she cupped his erection, in her hand, "You are ready for action, then lets get started." Sam lowered his zipper and her hands were filled with is swollen shaft. His pants slipped to the floor, as Sam fondled his throbbing erection. He was long, thick and hard as iron. She stroked him with both hands. Bailey groaned. "You're hard as stone, and soft a velvet." Sam praised him, and moved to rub against him. She rocked her pubis against his swollen cock, loving the feel of him so aroused for her. Bailey moved against her, his hips grinding into her body. Sam wasn't getting enough of him this way. "Sam let me love you now." "Yes, love me now.' Bailey moved her to lay on the bed and covered her with is body, he position his aroused organ to slip inside her warmth. He thrust forward, seeking her special area of sensation. Sam moaned as he entered her. " Oh, Bailey you feel so wonderful!" "Easy Sam, let me show you.' Bailey built her pleasure, long stroking at first then building to faster, then harder until she cried out her orgasm. He captured her mouth as she cried out, taking her pleasure as his own and continuing to thrust until they reached a climax together. "My beautiful Sam, I love you more than life." Bailey gathered her close, holding her in is arms afterwards. "My dreams were never that wonderful Bail, you take my breath way." They in each others arms for the entire night taking time touch and kiss and make love again before dawn. "What are we going to do about us, Bailey?" Sam asked in the morning. "I'm not sure, I want to be with you. But we can't work on the Violent Crimes Task Force together. I'm not allowed to be your rating official, if we are a couple." "I don't have to stay with the VCTF, I want to capture Jack, but he's been quite lately maybe he met with an accident." Chloe is my main concern, and she loves you almost as much as I do." Sam reached to kiss his chest. "We have a few days to figure it out, you aren't expected back to work for awhile." ::::::::::::: George had been running a program of his own design. He was checking on possible matches to private schools and students that had been thrown out of several of them. He had a hunch about Jack's back ground. His seemingly limitless money to fund his killing spree and his intelligence. "Bingo!" George smiled he had found a suspect that met all of his criteria. "John we've got him if you move on it now." "Where? In a building on the grounds of Hertford Academy, Annapolis, Maryland." "I'll call Bailey, are you sure?" "As sure as I can be, you could always check it out first, and then call Bailey in." "I'll check it out first. Send a couple of agent to meet me there." "I said send a couple of agents." John complained as George arrived with three other men. "I'm an agent, Bailey did get me special credentials as a technical specialist." "Then work your magic and tell me who is inside." "One man, alone with a lot and I mean a lot of electrical equipment. I'm sure he will see us coming. But if can tap into his satellite hook up, I can fool him into believing his monitor his still showing him real time." John, Nathan and Agents Whitehorse and Green moved in to surround Jack's hiding place. John made the collar himself, Jack was so surprised he failed to even run for the nearest exit. He was finger printed and placed into custody, with a twenty four hour watch. No exceptions. "Malone?" "Bailey I hate to interrupt your time with Sam, but I have news." "What is it George?" " We got him, he found Jack and he is in custody." George was smiling so wide he couldn't stop from laughing. "You're kidding George?" "No, this is the truth, here talk to John if you don't believe me." "Bailey, we got him, flat on his ass. He is in twenty four hour lock down with his own personal guard, I read him his rights myself and then again had Agent Green handle his finger printing and booking. We got the bastard Bailey!" "We will be right there to congratulate you." Bailey hung up the phone. "I don't believe it, but I guess I have to, Jack's in custody." "Oh, my God, how?" "George found him and John and Nathan caught him." Sam hugged Bailey, she was shaking all over it was finally over. Sam hugged John and George, "I'm so thankful to you both." "That was amazing work Georgie, I wish I could promote you or something." Bailey pounded him on the back. "Good work John, take rest of the day off." he joked as it was Saturday. "Where is Nathan?" "He had a baseball game to attend with his fiancé, her team is in the finals." "I'm taking us all out to dinner. We have to celebrate." Bailey was smiling from ear to ear. "You got your memory back, when did that happen?" George asked. "It started on Thursday, I still have a few blanks spaces but nothing important I don't think. I remember you, thank you so much." Sam hugged George again. "Your welcome Sam, I'm glad it's over." end 15
