“Virtual Salon”

Oh..no!!!! You didn’t think this was one of those places where you could
see your head with a dozen new hairdos did you??? Sorry! (Most hair doesn’t really look like those pictures anyway J ) So, why do I call this a ‘virtual salon’? I
read where they’ve been recruiting stylists in salons across

may not go any deeper than family, friends or maybe a few funny (or
embarrassing :) little
stories… So glad you decided
to visit. Relax and stay awhile.
Today, things seem a little chaotic…a day at a spa or salon just might be a
simple break in the hectic pace of your life.
When I
was working in the salon, my very favorite things to do were makeovers! Don’t you love
makeovers on anything? I could spend hours
watching “Trading Spaces”. The before
and after pictures of houses, rooms or people are sometimes amazing. Spring is a great makeover motivator!
Coming out of hibernation and the cold of winter, lots of my clients seemed
game for a ‘new look’. It’s exciting to go for a new hair color, maybe
brighten up with some highlights or a sassy new style. Perhaps the newest
spring line of makeup colors can make you feel ‘perky’. There is one makeover; however that never
goes out of style, never gets old and is never outdated. It’s the makeover of
the heart! That happens only when Christ brings the change. Are you aware of the before and after of
your life? I’d love to hear any stories of the change you’ve experienced through
the love of Christ….read OR…perhaps you were thinking TOTAL makeover!
Need a whole ‘new Look?’
Perhaps I can suggest one. We’ll have
plenty of time. While you’re getting
the works, maybe we can share our deepest, darkest secrets, dreams, and
desires….Go ahead….you go first!!! Don’t panic, I was just kidding…I’ll go first…let me tell you a little about myself. Did I tell you that the reason I’ve started
a ‘virtual’ salon rather than a real one?
Actually, I did have my own beauty shop, but had to close it. It was called The Beachcomber. (Remember I
told you? Life is funny?) Anyway, in 1995, after almost a year of not feeling
well…not to mention frustration of no diagnosis, I was given the news…I found
I’d been infected with Hepatitis C, from one of two blood transfusions I had
in the early 80’s. Not a great
experience, but, I will tell you this; God used it to change the direction of
my life…more. Uh oh…dry, frazzled, brittle, overworked,
and over-damaged the problem? You probably need an intensive treatment! I
happen to know a great one!
WOW! You’re probably going
to be here a while. Can I tell you
that there is a balm that will begin to soothe those rough spots? I know,
He’s restored the mess that was my life.
If you’ve got the time…I’d like to explain how
that happened. There is healing for the deepest wounds.
It’s called the Word of God. It’s
also our instructional manual! It
reveals to each new creation, the Creator’s answer to every hurt, every pain
and every problem known to man. Who would know best but the one who made
us. He knows how we work. And you know
what else? He knows every single thing that you’ve been through. I challenge you to apply some of God’s healing oil on the open and maybe wounded
places of your heart. |
