The truth about smoking.
A lot of people denounce smoking. A lot of people embrace it. Weather you accept it or not, smoking is a part of this world and it isnt going to change. Most people seldom see the benifits and advantages to smoking marijuana, and only focus on stupid mistruths to give it a bad reputation. I'm sure everyone has seen the "harmless" series of comercials showing what could happen when you smoke weed. Well...all those things could happen...and I can fly.
All I have to say about them is bullshit. Who smokes a joint in a public stadium bathroom? If you're going to do that, not only do you deserve to be caught, you deserve to be tortured for stupidity. Marijuana does not impair judgement to the extent that alcahol does, it simply relaxes the body and opens the mind. It is not a depressant, it is used to get away from problems, to help people be at peace, even if it is just for an hour or two. It is often called a gateway drug. This is only a true statement if you accept it to be so. Meaning- if your mind set is "if bud is this good...I wonder how heroin is!" than it is a gateway drug, and you're an asshole. Most people with common sense stick to the high of marijuana finding it to suit their needs perfectly. Another misconseption about smoking is that it is highly addicting. The truth is marijuana as a drug is that it is not a highly physically addicting substance at all, but rather what could be called a chosen addiction. People basically keep smoking because they like how it makes them feel, not because if they dont they start shaking and fiendin for a bowl. If you smoke to be cool, or because your friends do it, or any other reason than you like it, you're smoking for the wrong reasons. Marijuana can be a godsend if used responsibly, it can help you in many different ways. I urge you not to give it to society's perception of marijuana as a highly addicting gateway drug which ruins lives, but to think if it as one of the most wonderful things known to man.
