Rappohannock Refuge, Inc., better known as Hope House, was established in 1987 to serve homeless women and their children from the City of Fredericksurg, and the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, Caroline, and King George.
We are a non-profit, 501(c)3, transitional facility where families can stay up to two years. After successfully completing the program, six months of case management follow-up and financial assistance are available for families who move to permanent housing.
At Hope House, we help families look forward to a brighter future by offering new beginnings as well as the skills to sustain them.
Hope House provides:
shelter and outreach services
on-site day care
job placement or referrals
counseling in budgeting, parenting, self-esteem, etc.
