THE UNIFORM


There is a prescribed dress code and all students are expected to cooperate with this code at all times. Your attention is called to the fact that a student's appearance reflects his/her parent's personal care and supervision. All uniforms are to be regulation and worn properly at all times.

Uniforms for all grades include a red plaid skirt (girls), shorts (boys summer), or gray pants, pulled up to the waist with a white oxford button-down collar shirt, either long or short sleeved.with a white oxford button-down collar blouse, either long or short sleeved. The skirt may be no shorter than 2 ½ inches above the knee. A monogrammed, red, V-neck vest or long-sleeved sweater must be worn over the blouse. The blouse must be tucked into the skirt at all times and the top button may be worn buttoned or unbuttoned. Red knee or red crew socks with low, totally black sneakers complete the uniform. All black shoes are required. White socks may be worn only on P.E. days or with summer uniforms. Girl's hair should be well groomed with a conservative cut. No bleaching or tinting of hair is permitted. Haiaccessories must blend with the uniform: red, black, gray or white. Girls with pierced ears may wear only one pair of tiny post earrings in the ear lobes only. Girls may not wear makeup. Only clear nail polish is acceptable.

Shirts must be buttoned at neck and sleeves and tucked into the pants at all times. A gray, black, or blue belt is worn with the pants. Except for Kindergarten, a plaid tie must be worn. A monogrammed, long-sleeved, red, V-neck sweater or vest is worn over the shirt. Black, gray, or white socks may be worn with a low, totally black sneaker to complete the uniform. Peaks, L A Gear, or any other similar all black shoe is required. Boy's hair should be well groomed with a conservative cut. Hair must be above the collar and there should be no tails or tracks. Hair may not be tinted or bleached. No facial hair or earrings are permitted by boys.

Warm Weather Uniforms (optional)

The warm weather uniform consists of steel gray shorts, long pants, or skirts and a monogrammed, white, short-sleeved polo shirt. This uniform may be worn from the beginning of school to Columbus Day and from April 1, to the end of the school year. The polo shirt must be tucked into the shorts, pants, or skirt.

Personal Grooming Out of consideration for our teachers and students who suffer from asthma and other allergies and respiratory problems, we do not allow any heavily scented deodorants, colognes, or hair sprays to be used. No tattoos, temporary and/or permanent, may be visible on the skin when wearing the school uniform.

Physical Education Uniforms

Warm Weather:


Students in grades K-5 wear gray uniform shorts and white polo shirts. White athletic socks and the regulation black school shoe complete the uniform. Students in grades 5-12 wear green shorts and yellow tee shirts with white athletic socks and the black regulation school shoe.

Winter Season:

All students must wear regulation warm-up suits. All uniforms must be labeled with the child's name.

Boots

If boots are worn to school, then proper shoes must be brought and worn in school. The administration reserves the right to determine what is appropriate dress and grooming.
