Ninjas are so awesome. They kill pirates all of the time. Check out our bad ass ninja links on our links page! So how did this happen? Well, it all started long ago with the formation of our band "The Rude Abega's". Christina was on acoustic guitar (she can only play if there is a broken string) and vocals, Sarah was on the tambourine and vocals, and Michele was on percussion(pots and pans) and vocals. We can only tap into our artistic creativity if we are completely wasted, so our nights started (and ended) with tons of alcohol. It was the alcohol that influenced our costumes for our 2001 tour, "Live From Christina's Apartment". Christina dressed as a gypsy, Sarah as a clown, and Michele was a gangtsa. We performed in lots of local bars, whether the owners had asked us to or not. We had high hopes to kick the street hippy's ass, steal his guitar and then his prime sidewalk location for our own performing, but that deal fell through before it was carried out. At this point, The Rude Abega's were UNSTOPPABLE. Our "unplugged" version of our heavy metal cover of the song "Shoop" could be heard all over the place. But just as the stars fade, so did The Rude Abega's. We just stopped practicing and kept drinking and drinking and drinking. We would have the occasional gig, but we all eventually branched out to our own solo careers. Sarah has been doing interpretive dancing to Journey songs, Michele can be caught performing in various bars and doing bad celebrity impersonations, Christina also makes appearances in various bars, but likes to keep a low profile. Christina and Michele did get together for a perfomance in the summer of 2003. They did a duet of the song "Forgot about Dre", although they call it "Forgot about C". There have been recent talks about getting The Rude Abegas back together, no sober talks though. But to all of our fans, keep checking on us and we will keep you posted on what is going on.
