Bases instruction on goals that reflect high expectations, understanding of the subject, and the importance of learning.

All goals that I aim for in my instruction are set out in the Va SOLs and anticipated needs of students in the future grades. I have found that I have expected too much at times, and now differentiate work to challenge all students at their level of thinking. I use worksheets from the basal workbook to find work appropriate to each learning level. My major and Praxis scores should show that I have ample knowledge of the content matter. My teaching philosophy and regular discussions with the class emphasize the importance of education.
