Contract for the purchase of a pet/non-breeding quality Coton Puppy
This is a contractual agreement for
the purchase of a Coton puppy from a litter whelped ______(date) by ______
(sire) and dam, _________.
This agreement is made between sellers, Enchanted Cottage. ( Pamela C.
Brown, and Carolyn Ferguson) under the following terms and conditions:
1.
Ownership of puppy will be transferred to
the buyer in return for a deposit of $____________, and a balance of
$________________.
2. This
puppy is being purchased as a pet quality
puppy, and it is agreed that the pup will not be used for breeding. It
is also agreed that the pup will be spayed/neutered by one year of age.
3. Buyer must have the puppy checked by
their vet within 72 hours of purchase. If
the pup is found to be ill, or a serious genetic defect is found, the puppy may
be returned for a full refund of purchase price. Buyer is responsible for
returning puppy to Enchanted Cottage, and will pay any cost involved in
returning the puppy.
5. If buyer finds that he cannot keep the
dog he will either be returned to Enchanted Cottage, or Enchanted Cottage will
be notified in advance of plans to place the dog in a hew home.
Enchanted Cottage must give approval in writing of new placement.
6. It
is agreed that the Coton is a dog that must live in the house with its owners;
owner agrees to this, and will assure that the pup is maintained in such a way.
Owner also agrees to provide proper vet care with yearly check ups.
7. Buyer realizes that obedience training
is an essential part of owning a well-behaved Coton and agrees that
the puppy will be enrolled in an obedience class before the age of 9
months. A copy of the Certificate
(showing completion of the class) will be sent to Enchanted Cottage.
8. Buyer
agrees that puppy will not be chained, or tied out at any time
This agreement
is made and signed by both parties to assure the well being and protection of
this puppy. If any part of this
contract is broken by the buyer the warranties and guarantees promised by
Enchanted Cottage will not be provided to the buyer. This contract is not
transferable. If it becomes
necessary to enforce any part of
this contract by legal means, all legal expenses will be the responsibility of
the buyer/owner. venue for any
legal action will be in the courts of Chesapeake, VA.
