2002-2003 PTA Membership Theme

Support your child's school and become a member of Crenshaw PTA. Membership dues are only $3.50 per school year and go a long ways to making Crenshaw a better place for all our students. You don't have to do anything else but join. No meetings, no volunteering, no phone calls! Of course, many of you will continue your investment as active volunteers serving in the school, on committees and as board members.

HOW TO JOIN!

Your $3.50 can be sent to school in the PTA membership envelopes that will be coming home with your student. Or, just send your dues in with your name, student's name, grade and teacher's name to the PTA's attention. Your membership card will be sent home soon afterwards and your child's class will be credited with your membership. Its a quick and easy process to join and will mean so much to your student and their school.

100% SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP

This year our goal is 100% membership for both students and staff. To accomplish 100% school membership, we have to have one paid member per student. This means if you have more than one student at Crenshaw, each student would have to bring in a PTA membership to get credit for his classroom.

Consider having both mom and dad join. Also, ask grandparents, relatives, caregivers, friends, etc. to join your PTA. Today's PTA member is you - mother, father, grandparents, aunt, uncle, sister or brother. You are the next door neighbor, community professionals, and the members of the education community. You don't necessarily have children in school, but you know that children are 100% of the future so you invest in your future and theirs, by joining the PTA.

Your membership commitment is why Virginia PTA/PTSA continues to be the third largest congress in the National PTA averaging over 380,000 members annually. Every person who joins a local PTA automatically becomes a member of both the state and National PTA.

CLASSROOM POPCORN PARTIES

Any classroom that achieves 100% PTA membership will receive a special popcorn party in their classroom and a framed certificate to proudly display in their classroom. Students love to get this special recognition, so send in your membership today and help your child's class reach 100%!

MEMBERSHIP KICKOFF NIGHT

Be on the lookout for info coming home about our PTA Membership Kickoff Night! This will be an evening of family fun with many great prizes to be won by PTA members. We have already received a number of autographed items from NASCAR drivers to be given away by drawings that night. So, become a member and be eligible for the great giveaways!

We had great participation last year through PTA Membership and hope to be able to improve on our totals this year, but we can't do it without you!!!
