Bluegrass music means a lot to us here in the South, we can line dance, flatfoot, softshoe, reel and square dance. I grew up listening to it, it was played by my family and friends but we called it plain 'Ole Mountain Music'. Most played stringed instruments, mainly the guitar, fiddle, banjo, manadolin, bass guitar, and autoharp, sometimes a piano player would join in. I also listened to bluegrass on the radio. Bluegrass gospel is my favorite. There are several many bands here in Virginia that still play the 'old stuff'. Some of the songs here have one, two or even three versions, depending on the instruments played. I hope you enjoy browsing through the music. Click below to enter my website. ~Blue
