Blackwater Nursery was established in 1984 as a "Back-Yard" nursery and moved its retail operation in 1991 to its current location three miles South of Boones Mill, Virginia. Founded by David W. Jones, a third-generation nurseryman, Blackwater Nursery strives to produce and provide quality trees, shrubs and landscape services at reasonable prices to our clientele. Our mission is to enhance the quality of our environment by providing superior landscaping products and services in a professional manner at a reasonable cost. We produce quality trees and shrubs that are most adaptable to our region based upon plant hardiness. Our goal is to provide quality trees and shrubs that are locally grown, supplemented by offerings from the best regional growers.

Our customers range from retail to wholesale, commercial and residential. Our customer base includes homeowners, landscapers, contractors, parks and golf courses. Our services include landscape design and installation, in addition to retail and wholesale sales.
