Baycliff Portuguese Water Dogs are judiciously bred to produce superior health, structure, size, and coat for competition in the conformation (show) rings of the American Kennel Club (AKC).   We selectively breed AKC conformation Champions, who are over two years of age, and who have been medically and genetically tested, to meet the standards of the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America (PWDCA), to ensure the integrity of the breed and our Breeding Program.  

Baycliff Portuguese Water Dogs are home raised in a loving environment where they are encouraged to display their natural sense of humor and spirit, which we channel through training and play. We are proud to have these ancient mariners in our lives, and in our home on the Chesapeake Bay.
