Yet another wonderful holiday! I took my mother bowling, then out for a bite to eat! Bless that woman! Also found a new anime series to get hooked on. I caught episode 2 today, so it started last weekend. It's called "Power Stone", it's a bit of a mixture of different series. Names from Escaflowne, Ninjas, 7 magic stones like from Sailor Moon, Transforming as well, and fighting and flying like in the Dragon Ball series. It reminds me of Dark Water though... That series has been gone for a while. I miss it. I actually do have half an episode on a very old tape however, plus some merchandise. Ah, yes... the good old days...
Now in other site related news... I'll be doing some more reviews. I need to... I have a list 300+ long worth of series I've seen to review. It dawns on me I've seen way more anime than the average Otaku... Oh great Otaku god, what does this mean. LOL! Oh yes, I picked up a copy of Metropolis! Very cool! Also picked up a Conspiricy series bowling shirt. Polyester, and very static cling! Saw my first episode of Cowboy Bebop about 2 weeks ago. A rather interesting series. It could easily be made into a live action series. Oh yes and a short mini-series starts tonight, called "Dinotopia"! I think I may actually have a Dinotopia poster in my room, I got around 10 years ago or more. I was in Elementary when I got that thing. Now on to other news!
Toronto's "YTV" is now showing the anime series "Beyblade", yes the same beyblade as the spinning tops game. The game was based on the series. That raises many questions for me. In the past 2 months, toy companies have come out with at least 4 different spinning top games... You toy companies can give it a rest!! It's spinning tops for crying out loud! You know... I just noticed that this is the longest rant I've ever done... wow! Well might aswell fill up the whole page.
Translations on chapter 1 of Houshin Engi have started. Slayers graphic novel 2 is now avalible for pre-order, and the first 5 DVD's for Houshin Engi have arrived. The name has however been changed to "Soul Hunter"... The actual translation sould be more like Soul Sealer... but that's marketing for you. Aslo new links in "Favorites" section, journal updates, and as I said before I'll be doing some more reviews. On Tuesday, Chobits episode 7 will be on the air in Japan. We've been keeping up with the series, and it's packed full of humor, and was really made for the general Otaku male. Still a delightful series. Thus ending the longest rant, I've ever made!! Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go play video games until my brain melts! So long, and stay tooned for more anime and manga news!! Oh and don't be afraid to post anything on our BBS!
