Happiness

Too often, happy thoughts are lost in the disarray of everyday life. God's given me many blessings.. and I thought I'd share some of my happiest memories with you here.

1. I remember the day that Kelly and I went to town together. It was right after he and I first started seeing each other. In fact, it was the first time we'd actually gone anywhere. We went to town and in the car he kept singing these cheesy oldie but goodie songs and just making me smile. It was soo nice to be there with him just knowing that he cared about me and I cared about him. Thanks Kel.

2. I also recall a day when Jennie and I had an outing to Hornes, because we never have anywhere else to go. She and I were sitting in the booth and feeling really giggly. We laughed over the stupidest stuff, but it felt really good to just be able to be young and not have to ever worry about anything except the fact that I wanted a whole grove of apples..

3. I remember a few years ago at the Rennaissance Faire, I worked harder than I've ever worked in a job before, but the people made it so wonderful. I loved going to work. It was my first taste of freedom and I gobbled it up. I met so many wonderful people; Mark, Will, Steve, Mike!!, and many many others. Each day was an adventure and it was the only time I felt beautiful while shucking corn, screaming for people to buy shortcake, and being seranaded.

4. I remember the first time Katie and I went shopping after arriving at Tech. We were both a little bit bummed, but we cheered ourselves up with food at Spanky's (a little taste of home) and we rode the bus with smelly people, and we got clothes at Learner's and it was just a good day. Thanks Katie.

5. I remember the trip to Myrtle Beach for Select Choir. That was the most hilarious trip ever. My happy moment was sitting in the boys' room playing truth or dare. It was soo much fun. It was then that I realized Jeremy and Jeremy would leave a permanent imprintation on my heart as two of the most wonderful guys I've ever known.

6. I remember, the day before Mike and I left for college, I went to his house, kind of to say goodbye, kinda to grab back my cd that he stole! We were in his room talking and laughing like normal. I had a crisis. He solved it, as usual. He's always my saving grace. And then we did the most calming thing ever, I took a nap. Thanks Mike for always being there.

7. I like to think about that time that Steph was here. We had sooo much fun even though we were mostly stuck in KG. We would stay up all night talking about boys and playing girly fortune telling games. And when we went out she had a way of making even the most boring nights amazing.

8. I remember the first time I was kissed by someone I didn't even know that I cared about. It was my first kiss after my horrible first kiss and I didn't even expect it. It was the most wonderful night of my life. I had butterflies and almost pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I wasn't.. and it was real. And I was sooo happy.

9. I remember the day it snowed in my senior year of high school, and no one was at home at my house so I went to Jeremy's. It was sooo cool. It was my first experience with a really large family. Everyone was there and it was sooo exciting and busy, unlike my house which is usually empty. To this day, I love spending time at his house, because Jennie's there and she's awesome just like everyone in that family.

10. I remember the day that Julie, Mike, Leah, and I made our documentary in downtown Fredericksburg. It was sooo much fun. We stopped random people and we all flirted like mad with the cute people lol. It was wonderful. .

11. I remember the day that Mike and I went to see Phil's musical review where he got beat up by little girls! It was sooo hilarious cause Mike is just as critical as I am of people's performances and we could be nitpicky together. It was soo much fun and afterwords we saw Phil and he's hot!

12. I remember the day Jimmy and I drove to town, well he drove because I was learning stick then and wasn't nearly good enough, and we saw Katie at her work. It was a lot of fun cause I played hide and go seek in the store and Katie was cool cause we talked a lot and like she's really nice n stuff. It was just a cool evening. The boys came to the parking lot that evening too and met us there. Happy days!
