Playa del Carmen ~ Thursday Day 6
A light continental breakfast is included with your stay at La Tortuga, but we skipped it (except for the coffee) and went to La Placita for cherizo and scrambled eggs. La Placita makes one heck of a breakfast. Oh!...the cherizo and scrambled eggs is not on the menu, if you'd like to order it, just ask the waiter and he'll supplement the cherizo for bacon.

After breakfast we went to cash in more travelers checks (9.33US) and decided since we had a late check out of 5:00pm, we'd just relax on the beach under a palapa. It was a wonderful afternoon in Playa...we people watched, swam and even made a few new friends. We took one last swim in the pool, a quick shower and back to Cancun. We got gas, returned the car about 8:00pm and took the bus back to the Melia.

Around 9:30pm we headed back out for dinner. There was so much traffic in Cancun!!! It took us 45 minutes to travel what normally takes about 10-15 minutes. I thought the Hip-Hop festival was last weekend....nope, it's this weekend. Needless to say it was just crazy anywhere near a dance club. We jumped off the bus and looked for somewhere to eat. Nothing looked good to us except tacos:>) We were right next to the Taco Factory, so around the corner we went. We grabbed a table near the edge so we could people watch and have a breeze. One party goer had two bottles of champagne, one bottle in one back pocket of his huge pants and one in the other. The crowd at Slices was pouring out into the street...it was crazy!! We crashed about 2:00am:>)
Tomorrow......a day at the Melia Cancun beach and dinner at La Habichuela.
