Assistance to Students With Disabilities: The University's Office of Multicultural and Special Services provides various kinds of support for physically and learning disabled students. Students who have a physical or learning disability and who wish to receive assistance should contact that office at (202) 319-5618 well before the beginning of each semester.

Computer Facilities: Students have access to two computer labs in Marist Hall that are open only to School of Library and Information Science students. 131 Marist houses 13 networked Pentium, personal computers as well as text/graphics scanning facilities. To use the networked computers, students must obtain a CUA computing account from the Center for Planning and Information Technology.
237 Marist houses 6 non-networked personal computers on which students may do word processing. These machines also have modems for dial-out access.
The Center for Planning and Information Technology at the University maintains several computer labs and audio/visual classrooms throughout the campus.

CUA ID Card: As a student of The Catholic University of America, you are entitled to a CUA student photo-identification card. To receive one, you must go to the Office of Public Safety (121 Leahy Hall). You must be officially registered (your bill must be paid) before that office will issue an ID. The ID card will enable you to use any of the CUA or consortium libraries (if validated at CUA Mullen Library Circulation Desk), and to attend any of the campus functions that require student identification. This ID card must be validated every semester.

Library Privileges: To use the John K. Mullen of Denver Library or any of the department libraries in the University library system, take your validated CUA ID Card to Mullen Library for library validation. You will use your CUA ID Card for checking out materials or utilizing reserve items.

Parking: In order to park on The Catholic University of America campus, you are required to purchase a CUA parking permit or daily pass. For information on costs and parking regulations, contact the Office of Public Safety, located in Leahy Hall. The Office of Public Safety can be reached at (202) 319-6059.

Reserve Material: Assigned reserve readings will be available at the Library and Information Science Library unless otherwise specified by your instructor.

Textbooks: All required textbooks and recommended texts for your courses will be available for purchase at The Catholic University of America Bookstore located in the lower level of Crough Center.
University Closings: If the University closes for snow or other emergencies, announcements are made on various local radio stations. A recording is also placed on the main University telephone number, (202) 319-5000.
