CONTINUING EDUCATION

The continuing education program is designed to offer librarians, archivists, and information specialists the opportunity to update and expand their professional competencies and skills. Specifically, it provides participants with opportunities to:

  1. Engage in education activities beyond those considered necessary for entrance into the field.
  2. Reinforce previously acquired knowledge and skills for present-day applications.
  3. Explore a new area within the field.
  4. Engage in lifelong learning and prevent obsolescence of skills.

Applicants can enroll as post-master's students and take courses for credit, or they may register for various summer institutes that accept non-credit seeking continuing education students.
