KVK Precision Specialities, Inc.

This is the major job that KVK provides our class; they are endstops for overhead cranes.

These are the steps involved in performing this task.

Lindsey practices putting nuts on the bolts. Daniel works on placing the bolts in the end stop.

Step #1 Daniel gets end stop's out of box to get to Lindsey....Darnell with the assist.
Lindsey takes the end stop and inserts two bolts into end stops with help of Amanda.

Joey and Douglas place a nut onto each bolt just finger tight they can handle this job on their own.
Jose takes the completed piece and places them into a bag with the help of Erin.

Jonathon gets some hand over hand assistance with stapling the bags shut.
Jose proudly shows off the finished product.

Here the group is hard at work. For us this is a great thing to see the students
getting actual work to do. The jobs provided to us by KVK are very similar to
work that many of the assisted work environments do yearly. Because of KVK
our students will receive super transitional instruction and have a real opportunity
to learn things like on-task behavior, pace of work, team work, social skills, and
many other work related skills. We hare at Spotswood High School would like to
Thank the people at KVK Precision Specialities, Inc. especially Jeff Vaughn and
Stephen Monger a former peer tutor from our program.
