JUNE 24 AND JUNE 25 , SATURDAY AND SUNDAY Grand Opening of the Philippine Cultural Center by the Council of United Filipino Organizations of Tidewater (CUFOT), Virginia Beach, Virginia. A milestone in the Filipino American community since it will be the LARGEST Cultural Center in the USA.

JUNE 26, MONDAY Sponsor kickoff reception by FANHS, Virginia Wesleyan College, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Personal evening dedicated to meet with Platinum and Diamond sponsors and the FANHS organizing committee members. This will be an appreciation night hosted by Virginia Wesleyan and FANHS to welcome and meet our important guests and sponsors before the conference starts.

JUNE 27, TUESDAY Professional Development Day for educators by FANHS and Old Dominion University's Filipino American Student Cultural Center, Virginia Wesleyan College, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Teachers have the option of earning .8 CEUs for participating "Transforming Curricula through Filipino American Studies: A professional development day for educators." JULY 1 - SATURDAY The Friendship Day Picnic is expected to draw around 6,000 people throughout the day at Red Wing Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The festivities will start at 8am and end by 6pm.
