Frank Anzalone | ||
Frank Anzalone coached the Express for the first five years of the team's existence. His teams made the East Coast Hockey League playoffs all five years won the Northeast Division championship in 1998.

Henry Brahbam | |||

John Gagnon | |
One of the original owners and President of the Roanoke Express, John Gagnon is known as the man who saved hockey in the Roanoke Valley. For their work with the Express in the first season (1993-1994), he and Pierre Paiement were named the co-ECHL Executives of the Year.
Jeff Jablonski | ||
One of the leading scorers in Express history, Express captain Jeff Jablonski scored 52 goals and 96 points in the 1996-97 season. He hold the Express records for most goals in a game (4) and most points in a game (8).

Pat Kelly | ||
The coach of the 1981-82 ACHL Champion Salem Raiders team, Pat Kelly was the first commissioner of the fledgling ECHL. He continues to serve as commissioner emeritus of the ECHL.

Dave Morissette | |
Dave "Moose" Morissette was the first player to score a goal for the Express, and was the team's captain their first year in the ECHL. This year became the first former Express player to make it to the NHL, with the Montreal Canadiens. A great fan favorite, he currently plays for Fredericton in the AHL.

Tom Mullin played on the 1981-82 Salem Rebels championship team and is currently active in promoting recreational hockey in the Roanoke Valley.

For his work as general manager of the Roanoke Express, Pierre Paiement and John Gagnon were named co-ECHL Executives of the Year for 1993-94 for saving hockey in the Roanoke Valley. He was also a member of the 1973-74 SHL Champion Roanoke Valley Rebels.

Dave Schultz | |
Dave Schultz racked up 356 penalty minutes for the 1969-70 Salem Rebels team. He went on to play on two Stanley Cup Champion Philadelphia Flyers teams. He later served as ACHL commissioner, and currently coached for the Baton Rouge Kingfish of the ECHL.
