Biography

I am currently a Sophomore at Bluefield College, Bluefield Virginia, where I plan on graduating with majors in Religion & Philosophy, and Psychology. I am originally from Southampton County--about 300 miles from the school--in the Tidewater Area of Virginia. I was raised in a small agriculturally based town called Sedley (population about 500). I am a member of the Sedley Ruritan Club (A nationally associated community service based civic organization), and I am an Eagle Scout. At the end of my Junior year of high school, I was licensed to preach the gospel by Sedley Baptist Church. Since then, I have preached at several churches in the area on different occasions. Since the age of, three I have desired a profession in the ministry, which why I chose a Baptist Liberal Arts College.

Special Interests

My father owns a service garage in the town of Sedley, so one of my hobbies has always been restoring antique cars. I started doing bodywork at age fifteen. I have painted several Chevrolet trucks--from years 1967-1972--for my father, and also a 1956 Ford 8-N Tractor. In the past I owned a 1964 Ford Gallaxie 2Dr Hardtop, and a 1969 Peugeot Sedan. I restored the Peugeot as my first major restoration project; I painted the car corvette yellow with orange flames. My senior year in high school, I sold the 1964 Gallaxie and bought a 1966 Mustang. When I came to college, I decided to restore a 1965 Peugeot that previously belonged to my grandfather. I painted the vehicle bright red with a white top. I also restored the interior of the car to my own preferences, and added a complete stereo system.
