3DFX Voodoo

After testing many VDO cards I have found time and time again that 3dfx keeps amazing me. I tested the Voodoo3 3500 it runs at clock speed of 183mhz which means the graphic's are lighting fast. If you where playing Quake II you get 70fps at 800x600. Now that's some power! One thing you have to look for if you are going to buy a VDO card is if you have AGP support on your motherboard. AGP runs at 66mhz while PCI runs at 33mhz. So if you are into speed go with any AGP Voodoo VDO card.

Viper V770 Ultra

This VDO card is pretty cool just lagging behind the 3dfx card. The Viper runs at 175mhz and while playing Quake II you get 60fps at 800x600. The downside to this card is that it only accelerates D3D and OpenGL titles. Glide, the only major API is not supported.
