Christmas Greeting Exchange-- It's that special time of year when the excitement and anticipation of the holidays begins to fill our thoughts. What better way to express the joy of the season and friendship among students than to exchange Christmas Greetings from class to class around the world?

This is a quick, easy, almost painless project for the holidays. Not a lot of work but with big returns.

Here is how it works:

1. Each class prepares a class Christmas Card. It can be an art project of your choosing as long as you can get a picture of it onto your computer. If you want to be really industrious, you can have each of your students create a card and send a different one to each class on the list. Either way, you only send one card to each school.

2. Send me the following information: MUST BE REGISTERED between November 5 and December 1, 2001, to be included in the list.
School Name:
City/State/Country:
Teacher's Name:
E-mail address:
Grade Level:

3. I will make a mailing list for all participants.

4. Each class will send a message to the list and attach their Card. THESE WILL NEED TO BE SENT NO LATER THAN 12/17/2001 since schools will be dismissing for the holidays. This way we will each receive one card from each class on the list.

5. All the cards will be posted on the web. You can see last year's exchange at Holiday Greetings.

If you need help in preparing your pictures to email, you can find tips on reducing the file size on Hazel Job’s web page.

There is also a link to GraphicConverter there which can be used to convert your pictures to .jpg or .gif. These two formats can be read by any web browser. So please send the cards in one of these formats.
