On January 13, 1913 history was made. Twenty-two COURAGEOUS Black Women paved the way and Delta Sigma Theta was founded. Alpha chapter was incorporated on February 18, 1913 and Grand chapter on January 20, 1930. Because of their dream and creation, history of Delta spread throughout the nation. Along with these magnificent dates, the backbone of the sorority earned its place. Eighty-seven years later Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has become the largest Black Greek Letter Organization in the world, with over 250,000 members in over 950 chapters. Each and everyday, we honor our founders for being the wind beneath our wings.
