Escort

Well Damn The Escort is comin along good. I just pulled the interior out of it so I could run all my wires really out of sight. I put my fog lights on it and wired those up real good. I'm plannin on lowerin it as soon as I order the springs. I'm going to lower it 1.5" and tuck 17" rims under the fenders. I guess I'll have to roll the fenders or have my friend Joel do it. It's not too hard, I just don't want to mess up. Right now most of my money has gone into the Stereo system, which is one of the most complex and maybe loudest at Spotswood (My High School) As for performance I'm Plannin on droppin a 1.8L with a turbo setup in. You can get the engines from www.corksport.com for $1300. It will put out 180 HP, but I plan on havin Weapon R intake and Brospeed Exhaust, so Im lookin at about 200 HP. I figure it will probably run mid 14's and do 0-60 in about 6.5 to 7.0 sec. The reason I want to do this to a damned Escort is because I think it would be pretty cool to go show up all those damn Hondas and Acuras. Who would ever think that an Escort could be that fast, I mean think about it, 200 HP pullin around 2300 Lbs.....Damn fast. I can afford to do it so why not? The cars gotta look good too. Im doin rims, lowering, tint on windows, painted drums and calipers, clear lenses (From a Tracer) Might put some seats in it from a Mazda MX-3 or a Honda Civic. I'm not all talk and no show....I've already spent some mad money on this car and plan to keep going.
