Here's directions to the "western" Va. stadiums, along with a link for broadband/ISDN users that gives you an aerial view. Dial-up users are sent to maps.yahoo.com. Richlands' field is below US 460 Bypass on 460 Business. Take I-81 South to Wytheville, then I-77 North to Bluefield. Exit right after leaving the tunnel. Turn right onto US 52 for about a mile and get in the left lane for US 460 West. Go down the ramp (25 MPH !!) and you'll have about a half-mile to merge. Go about 30 minutes to Claypool Hill and "exit" from 19/460 onto 460. Go 2.2 miles and exit right just across the bridge. MERGE right onto Bus. 460 and go about 1/2 mile - turn right at the blue school sign onto Jones Chapel Road. Ernie Hicks Stadium is ahead on the left. View / map Amherst County's Lancer Stadium has ProGrass artificial turf. View / map Alleghany Co. High's Mountaineer Field is in Covington. Once on I-64, take Exit 21 at Low Moor. At the top of the ramp, take a right, then a very quick left onto Winterbery Ave. (F-205) for about 1.5 miles. Cross the bridge and turn right onto Mountaineer Drive for about 1/4 mile. View / map Gate City - From Bristol, take either 11W or I-81/I-23 N (old I-181) to Kingsport, then 23 N thru Weber City to Gate City. Take the 1st exit and go about 1/4 mile.
