G - "gimme" points - based on the 10, 9, 6, 5, 2, 1 scale, + 10 points per win
W - "win" points - points earned from who you beat - their total wins x 2
L - "loss" points - points earned from who you lost to - their total wins x 1
* Magna Vista only played 9 games and Twin Valley only played 9 public schools,
therefore, their totals are multiplied by 1.1111 to put them on an "even keel"
with the others (since the playoff positions are determined by the ratings
AVERAGE, not total ratings points, and I go by the total).
tie-breakers :
1. head-to-head
2. the team with the highest rating scale average,
counting points only for the VHSL rating scale
recognized opponents to whom they beat
NOTES
New rule : seedings based on power points ONLY -
District champs are no longer seeded before wild-card teams.
The 5 SWD teams had more combined wins than the other 10 teams in
Region IV (35 to 34) mainly because :
a.) The Highlands District went 0-16 vs. the SWD, and
b.) The Piedmont went 5-13 vs. non-district Group AA & AAA teams.
