Welcome to Springs Run
nigerian dwarf goats, mini silky fainters & mini nubians

Our little "peace" of the planet is nestled in the gently rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in Fauquier County, Virginia. Our 7 1/2 acres are bounded on the west by a rocky spring fed stream -- Blackwell Springs Run -- hence our farm name, Springs Run. We are home to a growing herd of miniature goats, three lovable nubian does, one bodacious border collie/aussie cross and five adopted "stray" cats.

We purchased our first two registered Nigerian Dwarf does in the spring of 1998 and are now completely smitten by this tiny dairy breed. We've found that these little goats make wonderful pets and companions. They're also fun to show and present many exciting opportunites, from milking, to cheese and soap making, to nurturing those adorable babies! In addition to the Nigerians, we've started a modest breeding program to produce Mini Nubians which should prove to be great little family milkers. And just for fun, we're raising a small herd of adorable, silky coated miniature fainters.
