Please join us for the second
annual Indian Summer Silky Shows. We’ll
have three MSFGA sanctioned shows in two days. If you’ve never shown before, this is a
wonderful opportunity to get your feet wet in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
It’s also a great way to promote the breed as well as your own Mini Silky breeding program. If you don't have Mini Silkies, come and meet these gorgeous creatures in person. But be warned, these little goats are very addictive!
We know it takes a lot of energy preparing for a show and a commitment to the breed to dedicate a weekend to attending shows. We really appreciate everyone who goes the extra mile to support the shows, so, once again, to help offset the cost of travel expenses, we'll have a special drawing for a cash prize.
We also plan to bring back the "Showcase of Mini Silkies for Sale" for those of you who may have kids or breeding stock available for sale.
New for 2009! We'll hold a silent auction featuring farm and goat related items as well as some beautiful handcrafted items on Saturday evening after the Harvest Moon Show. All of the proceeds of this auction will be donated to assist in the fund raising effort of one of our fellow Mini Silky breeders, Sharon Adams, to raise money for the fight against breast cancer. Sharon will be participating in Susan G. Komen 3 day walk for the cure in Fort Worth/Dallas, Texas in November. We appreciate any and all donations, large or small. If you would like to make a donation, you will receive a business card ad in the show program and on the show web site. You may mail your donation to:
Janet Shlanta 10178 Wesley Chapel Rd. Marshall, VA 20115-2147
If you would rather bring your donation to the show, please just send or email your business card ad along with a description of the item you wish to donate.
Please mark your calendar and plan to attend this very special event.
