Joey Wood
Singer/songwriter Joey Wood has played in and around the Tidewater area as well as the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Nashville, Tennessee and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania since 1985. He performs his original compositions as well as a wide range of cover material including songs by Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor and the Eagles, just to name a few. Joey has played his original songs at musical showcases in Nashville such as Boggies, Douglas Corner and The Bluebird Cafe. He has had three songs published in Music City and is a member of the Tidewater Songwriters Association. His latest project is a CD of all original material entitled " Putting Yesterday Behind " that was released in the spring of 2001.
Joey's acoustic guitar skills are steady and true whether a soft ballad or an uptempo rock beat. His enthusiasm keeps the audience entertained because he delivers his songs with passion and sincerity with the belief that music can make a difference.
