Welcome! My name is Coach Proffitt. I teach English 10 at Bassett High School. I also sponsor the school newspaper, and coach football and girls' track.
In English, students explore new worlds as many literary selections are read.
In addition, the students strive to increase their vocabulary, learn to revise sentences correctly, respond to writing prompts, and prepare for the Standards of Learning (SOL) test.
