Well, Aparently this is the week everyone has decited to piss me off. I got this e-mail today.
I informed Ms. Howard that I do not respond well to nastyness, and that I would be more than happy to use the photo in question to link to her site. Either way, she has lost me as a potential client.
To be 100% honest with you, I think a change in direction for this website is in order. I'm more interested in putting up a Web Journal (what's up in the local area with the gothic/ Indrustrial/ Rock/Fetish scene). Some may be dissapointed in this, but I think that the old days are done. Am I hanging up the cat-o-nine tails? Probably not entirely, but I think that I've worn myself out lately with sessions and I need a break. So for the time being, I'm no longer accepting applications. I'm not interested in Cyber-sex either, please don't e-mail me for that.
In other strange things, On monday night I was at Denny's at Newtown Road, Virginia Beach. Usually the folks from Drum Circle in Norfolk show up for Dinner, socializing, ect. The service has been slow due to the fact that they have been understaffed, for the last 6 months. Sounds like a lame excuse to me. I have waited tables, it's a sucky job. My problem is not with the waitstaff but the management.
The straw that broke the cammel's back, was the moment a group was told that they had to put away some playing cards. I did not hear what was said, but aparently some people were offended. Some people (not including myself) decited to calmly, quietly, have a conversation with the manager on duty. From my understanding, the excuse was that some people were not tipping, and some people were being loud and obnoxious. OK, first of all, tipping is not a requirement for bad service. I waited a half-hour before I was given a menu, and another 20 min. untill I got a glass of water. Once again, I do not blame the waitstaff. The management has known, for six months, that a crowd of around 100 or so people will be comming in at around 9:30 PM - 10:30PM, and they have not scheduled or hired anymore waitstaff for that night. Why? Because they don't want us there. This has not been stated by any employee, but I believe their actions speak louder than words. I think the main point of contention is the fact that most of the crowd is Wiccan/ Pagan and some are Goth. We don't hide this fact, many wear the pentagram (a five pointed star, with one point up symbolizing the four elements and spirit). Perhaps they have confused us with Satanists (Satan is NOT a part of the Wiccan religion). Either way I believe this is a case of religious discrimination and I will not be back untill there is a change in management.
Yesterday, I called the 1-800 # for Denny's and I spoke with a gentleman named Zack. I calmly told him what happened, he said that a report would be typed up and someone would be contacting me within a couple of days. I recieved a call this morning from a lady (who's name I did not get) and she wished to "interview" me over the phone on monday at 11:30 AM. I have been assured that the treatment we were given will never happen again.
I will say that not all of the group has been of the best behavior. We have a couple of people who do not know how to act in a public place (they know who they are, we have asked them to clean up their act or go home). We were told by the manager that if they(the troublemakers) continued to show that the entire group would be kicked out. I was told by the corprate office that this will not happen. On a personal note, If I catch you running out on your tab, It will involve a telephone pole and a lot of duct tape! No, you won't like it!!!!!!
