The History of the 808th Composite Fighter Wing:

The history of the 808th, Established in 1988 with 2 Kids using their
Amiga 500's playing Falcon via a serial link, other "Linkable" sims Followed.
In 1990 the 808th was stood-down and the 177th Grave Diggers were formed.
4 core pilots made up the 177th Flying Falcon 3.o Gold and EF2ooo. 

In 1997 the 177th was stood-down and hence the RE-BIRTH of the 808th CFW.
At Present, the 808th Plans to be the Worlds Best Fighter Squadron
Flying sim like Falcon 4.o and Su-27 2.o.

Today Air Combat Simulations REQUIRE the use of REAL LIFE TACTICS. 
Implementation of these tactics are some times difficult due to the 2D
world of the Flight Simulator.

The 808th is starting a movement that will bring the worlds best
together to share their skills and knowledge about combat and combat simulations.
  
Within the LAN Squadron we will Develop training workups modeled
loosely after the Virginia Air National Guard Workup syllabus.

Advance Comms----------------------[Lead, Voodoo 2 has contact 34mile]

This site and its information will NOT only serve The 808th CFW but hopeful 
sim communities as well. What will make this program unique is that we will
seek out Sim Pilots that have the time and skill to participate in the 
Staff Instructor Pilot Program© [Staff IP]. 

Staff IPs will provide Undergraduate Sim Pilots in the USPT program 
with instructional information about the sim in question.

           is part of the Internet Pilot Exchange Program IPEP
           started by the 808th CFW.
